We didn't ask to be spokespeople for blood cancer. As hard as it has been to tell this story we hope doing so can help other patients and their families. Our Beverly customers want us open ASAP and we aim to please. Part of our renovation is repaving our parking lot. But we are painting too... Nobody likes seeing a fresh parking lot with overspray everywhere so we are all hands on deck to get that paint done. First hyrox pro in the books. 1:14:13 on goal of one hour. Woke up with glass in my lungs but a fire in my belly so I gutted it out. Didn't finish where I wanted but glad to get one under my belt.

4 years ago I broke my hand, then my collarbone, then I tore everything in my left shoulder, then I broke my right foot, then I got hernia, then I had to have surgery on my left meniscus, then surgery on my right mensiscus, then I broke my right hand.

I have been in crazy pain for years and signed up to do this because I wanted a goal to circle to show I was recovered. I am not 💯 and still have some weight to lose but... I'm much closer to my goal than when I signed up months ago.

Proud of dominating the field on the sled push. Last night I didn't want to do this ever again but... slept on it. Onwards.

Some notes to self:

> finished first (or 2nd) in sled with 1:51. Not sure that was worth it as next fastest times were 2:10 etc
> ran the first 1km at a 4:50/mile pace. I thought I was jogging. Young people are fast af
> did pretty darn good at the farmers walk and finished top 10%
> got crushed by the lunges (definitely not measuring 100 meters right @ffc_chicago 1 my bad). Need to practice that way more. I finished well but legs were cooked after.
> need to get a proper rope for the sled pull training at the gym. The one in hyrox is very elastic. Also need to pull to side.
> proud to see @maureenlovesbruzer and 4 little bruisers cheering me on
> got a bad wall ball that was smushed like an egg and couldn't swap out until rep 80. 25 no reps didn't help either. Next time request a proper ball.
