My fav boys, till this day. What’s your favourite unit? I miss the old 40k vehicle rules. Haven’t played for ages. But I was chatting with a friend, and we agreed we needed to dust off and play again. What edition should we play and why?
From memory 4th is just 3rd but more refined yeah? Has the most fun chaos codex! #oldhammer #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer by @brutalcities

Are you guys keen for the new #necromunda ? Here are some of my girlfriends Corpse Grinder Cult, and my guys. I ran venators for a few games. But to be honest, I thought the rules were a bit janky and unintuitive. Infinity is still my main game so I thought I'd just play that instead haha. But I would love to revisit necromunda, because the setting and terrain is super fun, and the campaign based rules are really cool.
What's the best necromunda release in your opinion? This is the terrain I painted in about half an hour for that tutorial reel!
What do you you think? One guy on youtube said "Looks Horrible" lmao.

But the point of the tutorial is to be as easy and fast as possible. I think the results are great for time invested! by @brutalcities

If you’re at #gencon be sure to check out @cardboard_dynamo ! You can grab the terrain and demo grave trigger with the creator, Alex!

First Picture is from Cardboard Dynamos stand at Adepticon.

If you’re in Australia - you can grab the terrain from yours truly!
It’s massive and imposing in your tabletop and it’s great for games like #necromunda too. And there’s a new edition of Necromunda coming out which I wouldn’t mind trying out. I played a bit of the last edition but it felt a bit janky to me, coming from infinity. What do you guys think? Excited for it? Because I love the terrain and setting. taken in Gencon by @brutalcities

Necromunda has an update, and the fact that we continually see Warhammer 40k players play on unpainted terrain, I thought I’d share with you guys the quickest, easiest - and most importantly, low effort to high reward ratio painting method for terrain. After all spend months on your army only to ruin your experience with boring unpainted terrain?

Look, each to their own but I can’t personally understand why competitive, and even casual 40k players will spend countless hours painting miniatures so they have a force they can be proud of. It also makes the whole experience more enjoyable for their opponent.

But then they play with unpainted terrain? Immersion ruined!

You’ll need the following (available from art and hardware stores)

Black, grey, and white rattle can primers. A flat finish is preferable.
Satin varnish
Brown and Payenes Grey oil paints
Odourless solvent (You can also use artists white spirit or artists mineral turps - but odourless is best.

Prime the terrain black. Then let it dry, and lightly spray it grey. Finally with the white, give it an ultra light dusting, from much further away. About 80 cm/ 30 inches away. If you’re painting MDF it dries quickly. We should technically let it dry for longer but the people I want watching this are either time poor or don’t care too much. After all, you’ve been playing on unpainted terrain. Let’s just get it done!

Finally, when it’s touch dry hit it with a satin varnish. THis helps the oil weathering flow much better.
Once dry, you can use your prepared oil wash to give it a real quick weathering pass.

If you don’t have one, just mix 1/3rd paynes grey, 1/3rd van dyks brown, and 1/3rd burnt or raw umber. Mix it with the solvent and now we drip or use the brush to give the terrain a liberal wash.

Because this is a terrain speed painting tutorial I’m not going to go into doing heaps of tiny grime streaks. We can get a similar effect by placing more of the wash at the top of the walls to create the grime streaks. Because we varnished the terrain capillary action makes these streaks flow well, and create cool organic pooling effects.

Some dimensions for the MONOLITHIC pre-painted Brutalist Ruin Terrain! #necromunda fans who don't have time to paint all the terrain needed for your underhive, this is for you!
This giant ruin is 281mm/ 11 inches tall! A real centrepiece for your table.
Use it to represent:
🏗️ Base of a column in the underhive!
🏗️ Shanty town build on a forgotten sump pump station
Works great for games like 30k/ Horus Heresy too.
As you can see the three included shanties can be safely inserted into the facade. People in the hive, or post apocalyptic wastes tried to get as far away from danger as possible.

It’s also great for any other 28/32/35mm scale games like Fallout Wasteland Warefare, Star Wars legion, Infinity - even 40k if you’re not playing competitive! Not all ruins in the universe need to be Gothic!

This durable 2mm card pre-painted terrain set features:
Full colour high quality print saving you on painting time. Just assemble and play!
1 x MASSIVE brutalist terrain mega-structure centrepiece that stands 280mm tall - With slabs that allows you to display your miniatures in style
3 x Removable shanty huts that can slot into the mega-structure
1 x statue plinth scatter terrain
2 x smaller building ruins
1 x broken concrete crater
8 x mutation pikes (Throwable terrain in Grave Trigger)
1 x mutant tendril
6x giant mushrooms / mutated growths.
This was designed by Brutal Cities for Cardboard Dynamo's new body-horror diceless monster skirmish game. Alex of Cardboard Dynamo (The Grave Trigger designer) did a stellar job creating the textures for the full colour card terrain print. What do you think of this terrain set?

I just realised some of these monster minis I have are great for Zona Alfa! So here’s a cool scene with some of my military faction zone crew.

I also designed pre-painted terrain for 32mm tabletop miniature wargames. I’m posting here because the design is partly inspired by the Semiplatinsk Nuclear test site, former Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.

I imagined these massive ruins as abandoned infrastructure that has become the central core of a shanty town. The surviving humans try to get as far away from the insane Animus reactors - sentient, mutated armour - with humans trapped inside! (The miniatures are from Grave Trigger)

Or to theme it better for Zona Alfa, it could well be remnants of a secret laboratory before the zone event. Or part of a ruined dam or radar station. It has plenty of ledges to fight on and fall off, removable modular dwellings, and a whole bunch of scatter terrain.

The terrain set is printed double sided and has heaps of scatter terrain on top of the giant ruins. There are also smaller ruins, giant mushroom like growths, smaller ruins, a statue plinth, craters and more mutated terrain and giant spikes - so all good stuff for zona alfa.

If you need more terrain but don’t want to paint it you can get it - and / or the Grave Trigger minis on my website.

I also have a big collection of Zona alfa tokens, templates, terrain and more in the Zona Alfa collection.

From the #trenchcrusade wiki - “Death Commandos are silent killers equipped with stealth generators that hide them from the eyes of God. These terrifying infiltrators have been known to kill entire enemy squads alone.

Lore & History

From an early age, a select group of Heretic youth are sent beyond the Gates of Hell to be raised as Death Commandos. Few are chosen, and even fewer return, but those who complete their training are amongst the most elite of the Heretic Legions.

Barracked in the Seventh Circle of Inferno, they are taught the arts of assassination by the damned souls of the greatest killers who now reside in Hell. Under their tutelage the youths undergo brutal training, mastering all manner of weapons and poisons, schooled in martial skills by the personal guard of the Archdevil Beleth. They learn to slither as serpents, leaving murder in their wake.

Their specially forged Tartarus claws are quenched in the waters of the River Styx, a source of poison more potent than any mortal venom. Many carry silenced pistols to eliminate targets unseen and unheard. Aside from their weapons, the Death Commandos are equipped with stealth generators that operate by diffracting light, utilising the heart of an innocent and infernal technologies that hide them from the eyes of God. Death Commandos emerge from the Abyss as silent specters of carnage and are the most feared of all Heretic troops by the faithful.

Most infamous in the ranks are three master Death Commandos, Cain, Barabbas and Haman, who simultaneously assassinated the Supreme Pontiff, the High Prophetess Aelia and the Holy Roman Emperor in the year 1894. This threw Church forces into turmoil, and allowed the Heretic Legions to launch a lightning offensive across the Levant and Europe.

The Death Commandos’ tongues are ceremonially ripped out at the end of their training. They will never speak of what they have learned, and their unnerving silence adds to their sinister reputation. They communicate with each other with a complex system of inscrutable hand signals[1].”

Well I think this guy (Bael, from Grave Trigger) looks kinda similar in stature to a death commando from trench crusade! Good proxy? by @brutalcities
