Guy just walking his dogs
Sh*t in the back of the head
Doing nothing at all
Well then he's better off de*d
The string ain't run on this trade yet
Tell me
Cut it off
Can you cut it off?
Can you cut it off now?
Truly
Cut it off
Can you cut it off?
Can you cut it off now?

Brute Sun (Columbus, OH) makes heavy, atmospheric rock for the space between emotional collapse and catharsis. Blending the weight of alternative rock with elements of shoegaze, post-punk, slowcore, and post-rock, the band builds songs from submerged vocals, hypnotic rhythms, thick bass, and towering layers of distorted guitar.

Their music moves patiently, shifting from restrained, uneasy verses into wide-open choruses and explosive instrumental passages. Melody remains at the center, even when the guitars dissolve into fuzz, feedback, and noise. The result is brooding and immersive, balancing emotional numbness with a persistent sense of urgency.

With echoes of Hum, Deerhunter, Nothing, Starflyer59, Protomartyr, and early Smashing Pumpkins, Brute Sun creates music that feels both intimate and massive: worn down, loud, and searching for release.

Brute Sun is Anthony Rowe (Vocals/Guitar), Curtis Cole (Guitar), James Robertson (Bass), and Timothy Murray (Drums) taken in Columbus, Ohio by @brute_sun
