Nothing beats the feeling of bringing a group to the edge of the continent and watching their faces light up. We spent the day at the Cape of Good Hope, taking in the dramatic cliffs, the crisp ocean breeze, and the powerful waves crashing against the rocks below.
To make the moment even more unforgettable, I surprised everyone with champagne right as we reached the viewpoint. We toasted to the journey while taking in the views, accompanied by a wild ostrich strolling along the shoreline and an eland (the largest antelope) taking in the day.
An incredible day with a fabulous group of people. Grateful for moments like these at the end of the world.

Floating somewhere between the dunes and the sea in Bazaruto Island.
Tucked away off Mozambique’s southern coast, this island is a protected national park where giant white sand dunes drop straight into the turquoise Indian Ocean. It's home to sea turtles, pristine coral reefs, and Africa’s last viable population of dugongs. I am staying at the beautiful Anantara resort.

Hippos of the Zambezi 🦛
Interesting fact: Despite spending up to 16 hours a day submerged in rivers and lakes, hippos cannot float or paddle.
Their bodies are too dense to float, so instead of swimming, they walk, jog, and bounce along the bottom of the riverbed in slow motion.

Some places don’t even feel real, no matter how long you stand there staring.
Victoria Falls is already breathtaking on its own: the thunderous roar, the mist rising into the air, the sheer force of Mosi-oa-Tunya. But catching a vibrant double rainbow arching right across the gorge felt like nature was putting on an absolute masterpiece just for us.
Moments like this remind you of how big, beautiful, and full of magic the world really is. Zambia has completely stolen my heart, yet again.

Standing face-to-face with a giant, you expect to feel small, and you do, but not in the way you’d think.
Feeding this male elephant in Zambia was one of those rare moments where time just completely stops. Feeling the warm rush of air and the power behind his trunk while placing food right into his mouth was a humbling reminder of how massive, gentle, and deeply intelligent these creatures are. There’s a quiet reverence in sharing space with an animal that towers over you, yet accepts a treat with such unbelievable precision and care. So much joy today, and you can see it in the video.
Zambia’s wild beauty has a way of grounding you, but moments like this leave a mark on your soul long after you leave. Definitely one of the most meaningful core memories I'll ever carry.
