EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT After three-plus decades in the luxury watch and jewelry industry, one thing is crystal clear: my best work is in the stores—working across multiple teams—connecting with people, aligning leadership, and turning potential into consistent performance. I’m deeply grateful for my chapter at Polacheck’s Jewelers—leading the sales team at the Calabasas multi-brand store and helping spearhead, alongside a talented group, the launch of the new Polacheck’s Rolex boutique in Topanga. An experience I’ll never forget. Thank you to Brent, Steve, and the entire Polacheck’s team for the trust and opportunity. That chapter reinforced what I love most: creating a positive, inspired environment, building the right mindset foundation, and coaching teams with simple, repeatable systems and habits that actually stick—so performance rises and the client experience levels up. With a lot of thought, planning, and conversations with friends and mentors, I’m excited to share that I’ve launched BH Consulting & Coaching. This is something I’ve wanted to build for years—I just never felt the timing was right until now. A workshop is an event. Coming back to it is where the growth happens. Back with the KARATS team this morning, 5 weeks after I walked them through the timepiece presentation framework I built for their store. This time was about listening. What's working, what still feels awkward, and the wins they've already had with clients. 3am. Same thought, 9th time around. Here's the question that stops it: am I solving, or am I rehearsing? Solving has a next step. You can name the thing you'll do. Rehearsing just runs the tape again, playing out tomorrow's meeting, replaying yesterday's conversation, going nowhere. There's a name for it. Rumination. And it's not a flaw. It's your brain trying to protect you by preparing for everything. Useful instinct, terrible timing. Once you catch it, you can breathe and set it down. You can't solve anything at 3am anyway. An associate I was working with was in a real funk. Sales off. Clients not calling back. Stuff going on at home. You could see it on her. So I sent her outside. Ten minutes, no phone. Look up, look around, breathe, and find 3 things that are working in her life. The car started. Coffee was good. Anything counts. Two weeks later she called me. Sales had come back. Nothing in her life changed. What she was looking for did. Which completely changed how she connected with her clients her colleagues, and most importantly, the people that are most important in her life. Give me one. What’s working for you right now? Crestwood Hills Park. Brentwood, CA. Where I grew up. Learned football on this grass. Baseball on that diamond. Basketball right over there. Climbed that tree more times than I can count. “I already have one like this.” Most people hear that and start explaining why this one is different. The better move is asking about the one they already own. When do they wear it. Who gave it to them. What it means. You will learn more in that answer than in anything you could have said. Spent yesterday with a FANTASTIC team in Kansas City working on exactly this. Landing the brand is hard. Deserving it every day is the actual work, and that happens in conversations like this one. This is the work I love. Right in my zone.
