Old Time Revival - present past & future constantly swirling in existence - It took everything to get to this point when the tracks align and the missions focus harmonizes the sweet tune of perseverance, where the sounds ripen in love and settled ease of home. The strifes at bay for now as ascension is set into the new character a new journey requires. We sat capping off this all time weekend bbq side in the back yard as a family next to the smoker as the heat climbed in prep of the awaiting 60lbs of brisket. An 8 hour last man standing night spell of magic ensued between the pit master Kenny Norwood and I. Weekend spells continued as the local hometown legend Dallas Burrow received his flowers headlining main stage Gruene Hall. My boys are off ripping in team sports of soccer & flag football. All to be capped off with a Labor Day party fit for kings to the tunes of retired saddle bronc rider, the prolific song writer Zach Aaron. Gods been guiding I’m here to answer with an opened arm embrace⚡️thank you. by @brycekrause

🥊 KP MUAY THAI 🥊

I may not be the best fighter in the world, but my journey has taught me one thing:

Opportunity can change a person’s life.

I’m grateful to everyone who believed in me, saw my potential, and gave me a chance. Sometimes, all a person needs is someone who believes in them and is willing to walk beside them. 🙏

Today, I want to pass that opportunity forward through KP Muay Thai.

Whether you’re a professional fighter or an amateur, experienced or just starting out — if you have the heart and the discipline to learn, we’re here to help you grow. 🥊❤️

Muay Thai is not only about fighting.
It teaches discipline, respect, responsibility, perseverance, and character.

We don’t just want to build better fighters.
We want to build better people.

I can’t promise that everyone will become a champion. But I believe the road to becoming one is never too far for those who work hard, stay humble, and never stop improving. 💯

True gold will always remain gold.
The real ones don’t need to talk too much — their actions will speak for them. 🔥

Give yourself a chance.
Give us a chance to help you.

KP MUAY THAI
🥊 We build fighters.
💪 We build discipline.
❤️ We build character.
🙏 We build good people.

Your journey can start here. 🥊🔥#muaythai #kansascity #mma #kickboxing #kansas by @brycekrause

Carapan, Michoacan - an indigenous ”Purépecha” town, they once rivaled the Aztecs. Their traditions of arts and crafts are still practiced today along with their rich heritage in agriculture primarily maize. I met mi compadre “Chepe” at a roadside birria breakfast taco joint one morning pulling in parking in front of his two saddled horses for a quick bite before heading out riding his horses through town and into the countryside to a friend of his “Pollo’s” ranch where we picked up two additional riders. I rode “Chilendrena” a peppered sure footed mare that was pleasant to ride. The three hour ride consisted of weaves through many an old corn fields often passing herds of grazing cattle with teams of dogs in tow hugging the base of a lush mountainside. Returning home we pulled up to a hole in the wall “Abarrotes Mateo” Mateo Groceries translated for some hydration before being pinned down for a half hour waiting for a storm to pass. Chilendrena and I opted for tree cover having a moment together in a face off of sorts just two souls with our feet in the mud. It’s a majestic land and one of my favorite colorful towns where the airs fresh and the peace of stillness abounds. taken in Carapan, Michoacan De Ocampo, Mexico by @brycekrause

One of the original “Cosmic Cowboys” Bob Livingston recently played the Red Bird Listening Room in New Braunfels TX. Raised in Lubbock Bob picked up his brothers guitar and never looked back playing alongside Michael Martin Murphey, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard & Gary P Nunn to name a few. He founded the Lost Gonzo Band in 72’ at an instrumental time weaving the long haired hippies amongst cowboys creating the cosmic country scene. Long live Bob a relic of times past, a cosmic storyteller as well as a traveled sage whos managed to keep a 53 year marriage to his beloved Iris through it all. Hats off to you Bob⚡️ taken in The Redbird Listening Room by @brycekrause

Feliz día de madre amor! Gracias por todo lo que haces. The boys and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. You mother our children with the right amount of toughness and tenderness and to see them loving on you the way each one does shows you everything. We love you! ❤️ by @brycekrause

I guess the real story of the last couple weeks 5,000 mile cross country jaunt was my dad’s cousin Randy. See, Randy grew up helping my dad’s father on the farm as he was six years older than my dad. So until my dad could drive the tractor (@6) Randy’d be over helping in whatever capacity he could. My grandfather owned a dairy farm in Richmond Township Michigan and grew their own corn so plenty to have been done as you can imagine. Randy also bought my dad beer as a teen so the boys could cut loose a bit on the backroads. So Randy heard we’re arriving to town and drove out from snowbirding in Florida before having to drive back north to help plant 2,000 acres. As luck would have it Michigans weather wasn’t cooperating for planting as rain continued to be forecasted. So he stayed two weeks with us and we tore it down every night. We saw a ten day run of live music from the speakeasy at Gruene Grove, Gruene Grove MainStage to catching free shows at Gruene Hall(first place I came to in Texas in 21’) where walking by we ask the lady taking tix who’s playing, she goes I can get yall in “if” you buy beer and tip your servers “well hell, we can do that” was our reply. To the legend Ray Wylie at the hall. Red Bird listening room 3X’s. A four hour drive to the famed “Old Quarter” was my highlight as we rambled the entire way hearing stories of the local boys in Richmond beating up the “carnies” as to let em know not to mess with their towns girls. Willie Nelson at whitewater to Luckenbach pickers circle to Albert for afternoon reclined music hangs under their magnificent oak tree with 60ft low hung branching keeping everyone cool. Had Randy back my trailer in after failing myself for ten minutes. I’ll cherish this time spent with him and all the stories captured of my dad as a tough sob undersized football center farm boy he was easily stronger and fiercer that anyone to Uncle Doc throwing people over fences and the local boys who’s Pa was a boxer and grew up with boxing ring in yard and them putting the lights out of anyone unwittingly enough to test em. Thanks for hanging Randy and being a glimpse into the beauty of days gone by. ⚡️alltime seeing you cuttin the ladies taken in Gruene Dance Hall - Oldest Dance Hall In TX by @brycekrause

Well we sure hit the ground running more on that to come.. nothing like being on the road getting to where you’re going. First things first as we descended into Texas we pulled the gym into the sacred lands of Luckenbach & Devils Backbone tavern to soak the energy in. Upon arrival we were met by my dad’s cousin Randy who drove in from snowbirding in Florida hearing that we’ll be in town before he heads back north to plant 2000 acres in Michigan. More on that story in a later post. Thankful for great friends @kennynorwood & @willywhipple for breaking their backs putting the gym in storage for the time being. Once that was done we whirlwind’d through town paying respects to my friends Family Abernathy Lehmann Krause & oldest headstone in Comal Cemetery Johan Krause 1797-1888. Caught an insane songwriter night @theredbirdnbtx Red Bird Listening Room & treated my family to the Legend Ray Wylie Hubbard at the famed Gruene Hall. We sat on the riverbank of the Guadalupe enjoying a case of LoneStars envisioning the years ahead watching my sons in their new lands. Futures bright. Thanks God for guiding me. ⚡️ by @brycekrause
