every once in a while, my love of the present, past, future, and 'A Christmas Carol' clouds my judgement.

hear the fine people in @mightymightymums endure my fixation on learning lessons from ghosts, as we discussed their latest album 'Thunder Perfect Mind' on my Kreative Kontrol podcast, and their tour through the Canadian Prairies, including a @winterruptyeg stop on January 23, 2026! by @brydoncrain

sometimes you tell a band named Motherhood about how your son always seems to be trying to best his father.

such a thing occurs on episode 1060 of the Kreative Kontrol Fatherhood and Motherhood podcast, because Brydon Crain, Adam Sipkema, and Penelope Stevens from Motherhood are here to discuss their January 2026 shows in the Canadian Prairies, their latest album 'Thunder Perfect Mind,' university courses, music school, and religious studies, spiritual and musical communities, Penny’s time in Vietnam and observations about communism, the story of Motherhood, how I think my son is trying to be better at life than me, the band’s Deerhoof connections, fantastical aspects of Motherhood’s music and the sci-fi themes on their latest album, their other bands like Sam Salmon & The Grand Manan Bandits and Penny & The Pits, future plans, and much more!

it was nice to connect with Brydon, Adam, and Penny and learn more about Motherhood. please see the band on tour and check out our conversation on my Kreative Kontrol podcast. thanks!
