Here & Now Exhibit | NYC

This past December, I exhibited my photography work for the very first time !!

I’m incredibly grateful to have shared two of my pieces at the Monad’s HERE & NOW Exhibit in NYC. Seeing my work printed, framed, and hanging in a gallery felt more emotional than I expected. There’s something truly special about experiencing photography in a physical space: the depth and texture of the images and the way people engage with them makes the images feel alive. It reminded me how important it is to let photography live beyond digital spaces, to exist in a way that can be seen, felt, and shared in real life.

The two pieces I chose weren’t client work but were moments from my travels, one from Portugal and one from Japan. Quiet walks through unfamiliar streets, slowing down, being present, and capturing the world as it revealed itself to me. Those moments are the reason I fell in love with photography in the first place!!

Getting to exhibit alongside other incredibly talented photographers was an honor I don’t take lightly. Photography can often feel isolating, so having the chance to see others’ work, to witness their love and dedication to the craft, and to share this space together, is incredibly inspiring and vital for creativity.

I felt so supported by my beautiful friends and family, met people who inspired me deeply, and was surrounded by so much passion, energy, and love.

Thank you to @monadnyc @dokyii for selecting me and allowing me to be part of such an amazing experience, for giving me the chance to see my work in a completely different light, and for providing the space to express and share my photography in a way that feels tangible and real. I’m so so so so grateful for everyone who supported me and stood beside me in this moment.

I can’t wait to share more of my printed work this year💛

Switzerland gave me memories I’ll never forget. Being surrounded by mountains, lakes, and views that looked too perfect to be real made me realize just how loved we are by God who created all this beauty.

I found a peace here that I didn’t even know was possible!

Forever grateful for trips like this that reveal the wonders of God’s creation and the joy of exploring new places. Blessed with such amazing friends who are down for spontaneous adventures, deep conversations, and living fully in the moment❤️🇨🇭

caught this beautiful sunrise from the balcony of my airbnb, with crisp air and the city slowly waking below.

A day well spent admiring one of the most beautiful animals on earth🐘

during my trip to Thailand, I captured photos of the cutest Asian elephants at an ethical/no-touch sanctuary in the mountains of Chiang Mai. no petting, no hand-feeding, just admiring these beautiful animals from a distance and capturing the moment.

some things are best experienced by simply sitting back, observing, and taking it all in!!

I’ve always loveddddd elephants for their intelligence, strong family bonds, and incredible memory🥹They are my little reminder to appreciate the world around me, make memories, cherish the little moments.

teaching myself to become a photographer episode four: with @bryellemonk of @ellevisuals.prod ✨📸

I met bry’elle helping her model for @vtx_adamsmorgan a few years ago and was so excited to be back at venture x to work together again!

shoutout to @thesrc.co for supplying us our subject of the day as we both wanted to do some learning with product photography just using what equipment we had around us.

I think this is HUGE for anyone looking to get started with any hobby or business. you don’t need the newest and fanciest equipment, you need determination and creativity to get the best results with what you have.

I loved bry’elle’s advice about being flexible and fluid in your shoots because so often the best results come from the weirdest attempts and you’ll never know until you try!! 🌟💡

be sure to follow @ellevisuals.prod and follow me for more photography adventures! 👀😝 taken in Venture X by @bryellemonk
