$Oh Bapak, I don’t think words could ever explain how much you meant to me or how much I’m going to miss you. You were truly one of the strongest, hardest-working, and most loving people I have ever known, and I will forever be proud to be your granddaughter. At just 18 years old, you left Indonesia and traveled to America alone with nothing but a dream and the determination to build a better life. And you did just that. The life you built, the family you created, and the opportunities you gave all of us are a testament to the man you were. I can only hope to carry even a fraction of your strength, courage, and determination with me throughout my life. You will forever be my inspiration and my rock. For a man of few words, you sure had one incredible story to tell—and now it’s up to us to keep that story alive. I will never get tired of telling people that I’m Indonesian, because that is a part of me that I carry so proudly because of you. Your story is a part of my story, and everything you worked so hard for lives on through our family. Thank you for everything you taught me, for every memory we made, for every tip and trick when it came to the casino, and most of all, for showing our family what it means to work hard, love deeply, stay strong, and never give up. I wish I had more time with you, but I know a love and a legacy like yours don’t end here. I’ll carry you with me everywhere I go, and I’ll spend my life trying to make you proud. I will always have my eyes on you. Terima kasih for everything, Bapak. I love you forever. 🤍 by @brynley905$
