There are not enough words for me to express how deeply grateful I am to have spent the last 17 years of my life dancing at Dance Expressions. I’ve danced next to countless incredible seniors and have watched each of them leave the studio to embark on their own journeys. I never thought that my day would come to do the same. Being a senior means leaving behind so much, my friends, my amazing teachers, the late nights of cleaning, the early mornings of drilling dances, the laughs, and memories. However, being a senior also means that I have had so many amazing years at the studio to learn about myself as a person, to understand the importance of friendship and teammate bonds, and to value the people in my life that started as teachers and friends, but quickly became family. To my girls, I will always have your backs. The bond that we have curated over the years, especially this year, is one that not many people have the pleasure of attaining. I will miss our over tired jokes, our happy tears, and heaving laugh attacks. The love I have for each and every one of you is overwhelming and endless. To my teachers, thank you for raising me into the person and dancer that I am today. An amazing quality about the teachers at DE is that they care about their students as dancers, but they also care about their students as an individual. I cherish each one of you more than you know. To my parents, thank you for it all. Especially, for the sacrifice of your time, money (and sometimes sanity), for me to be able to do what I love with who I love. Your support often seems like it stretches from the ends of the earth, and for this, I am eternally grateful. And, of course, I want to give a huge thank you to Miss. Jess. Thank you for being my second mom. You have always been there for me: to push me down into a split, to let me cry and to be my biggest cheerleader when I was scared. I’m incredibly grateful for the studio that you have provided me with that has been the basis for so many friendships and proud moments. I love you forever. I love you all so much DE Fam, this is not a goodbye, but a see you later❤️
