Over the last few years, I put the pen down for a while. I haven’t published a blog in over a year and a half. But slowly, I’ve been chipping away at this meaningful piece. At first, it was simply meant to update my readers on where “Words on the Walk” had gone and to offer a bit of inspiration through my journey. But as I wrote, I realized something deeper was unfolding. It allowed me to see myself more clearly—what golf truly means to me, the path I’ve walked, and how to embrace both the unexpected and the uncertain, along with the beauty that reveals itself in between.

If I could put our first year of marriage in a picture, it would be the first one - hands up, eyes closed, smiling wide and holding each other for dear life. This year has been an amazing ride full of adventure, travel, challenges and so much love. But the very best part hasn’t been the places we’ve visited, the memories we’ve made or all the things we’ve been able to do, it’s simply been just getting to do it all together. Life came full circle last week at @annika_fdn fundraiser @rggc1926 ⛳️ It was amazing to see the young girls inspired by Annika’s game and star power just as I was during my first Annika clinic over 10 years ago✨

Big Career Update Below ⬇️

I’ve been a bit in the dark as far as informing my followers about where I am in my pursuit. At last, here is an honest and heartfelt update from me.

Over the last year and a half, I’ve battled injuries in my shoulder and neck. In January, I found out that I have nerve damage in my C5-6 which stems from damage in the brachial plexus (where the C1-6 connect). In March, I met with a pain management doctor who informed me that it was an overuse injury that would only resolve with rest. I was told I could compete until I couldn’t bare the pain anymore. That’s what I did.

I trained and played for 2 months until I was forced to shut it down. Since then, I’ve been coming to terms with what’s next, when I’ll play again, and what I’ll do in the interim.

In my latest blog (link in bio), I share what this means and what lies ahead.

The one lesson I’ve learned through all of this is that we really never know what lies ahead. We have two options for facing uncertainty - faith or fear. For most of this time, I’d say I’ve been fearful. But over the last few weeks, I’ve been able to look to the future with faith and hope that it can be better than anything I imagined.

That’s what I choose to believe from this point forward. I’ll be writing in my newsletter, Words on the Walk, sharing my experiences in golf, travel, and lessons I’ve learned along the way.
