Florida Gulf Coast Forward Bryson Lucas is one of the most intriguing mid major players in college basketball next season.

The 6’8 Forward was a D2 standout where he averaged 17/10/3 along with 2 steals a game and 1 block a game. Lucas also shot 49% from the field.

Lucas was an elite defender in D2 who used his athleticism, size, strength, instincts, and length to be an extremely versatile defender who could defend multiple positions, attack passing lanes, and be a help rim protector.

Lucas was also an elite finisher who shot 69% at the rim and had the ability to create his own shot at the rim or be an elite off ball finisher with his cutting and offensive rebounding ability. Lucas is also a strong mid range scorer and spot up 3pt shooter who shot 35% on spot up 3s. Lucas is also a strong passing connector who has the vision to find his teammates with and without the ball in his hands.

Lucas has a strong mix of athleticism, motor, rebounding, off ball craft, creation, finishing, passing, and defensive versatility that makes him a unique and valuable player. by @bryson35l

SML Sports is thrilled to announce the newest member of our NIL representation, @bryson35l of @calvulcans_mbb !

The Clarksburg, WV native is a rare talent, measuring 6’7” with a 7-foot wingspan, while still possessing elite guard skills. Whether it’s punishing defenders at the rim, operating in the mid-range, or knocking down threes, Bryson has the scoring tools to excel at every level. His court vision and ability to push the ball in transition add yet another layer of pressure on opposing defenses.

Equally as important, he has a tremendous impact on the defensive side of the floor. With next-level length, speed, and hops, Bryson is able to lock down in 1 on 1, be disruptive in passing lanes, and protect the rim in weak-side help.

Bryson was recently named the @nabc1927 Player of the Week for NCAA Division II, and is currently the only player in the country averaging at least 17 ppg, 9 rpg, and 2 spg.

As if this wasn’t enough, more congratulations are in order as he recently surpassed the 1,000 point mark in only his third season of play.

The sky is the limit for the 2024 @psacsports Defensive Athlete of the Year, and we are truly excited to help guide the next stage of his career as both a player and person.

Let’s work!🤝 by @bryson35l

DOMINANCE ON DISPLAY. 😤 @bryson35l left no doubt, putting the @psacsports on notice with a massive 25 & 14 double-double. 🔨 Whether he was cleaning the glass or finishing at the rim, the @calvulcans_mbb forward was essentially unguardable. 📈

When you combine a 25-point bag with 14 boards, you aren’t just playing the game—you’re controlling it. 🔒🦁 #D2HoopsToo #WeHoopToo
