One of our students just received a $500 scholarship through The Village Project @thevillageproject.scholarships , covering a full month of programming on @guildara booking platform.

Bushwick School of the Arts, our kids and teens program, remains committed to tuition free access.

Guildara is a new pathway we’re exploring where families can discover our program, access scholarship opportunities through The Village Project, and, if they ARE in a position to pay, book at a deeply discounted rate.

What we especially love is that The Village Project is committed to making scholarships available every month. That means ongoing opportunities for families to access support, while those funds also help us keep our programs running.

Huge shoutout to Josh, the Guildara team, and The Village Project. If you run classes, activities, or programs for families, we highly recommend you explore a partnership. And NY families stay tuned as more offerings will be available soon.

This Latine Heritage Month, do some good and help us get in front of the right people. We may not actually run a cafe but the part about struggling to stay afloat is very real.

Support the culture beyond the food. Support the actual community leaders and organizers doing the work every day.

The people creating opportunities.
The people building spaces.
The people investing in the next gen.

Thank you @nicolasnuvan and @neighbor.fest for creating such a beautiful initiative and shining a light on local nonprofits doing the work in our communities.

Although we didn’t win, something pretty special happened. That very same day, one person chose to become our 2nd individual monthly donor. Shoutout to Amberly🙌🏽🫶🏽

That’s the kind of ripple effect community visibility can create. More people discovering the work, believing in it, and choosing to invest in keeping it going.

Grateful to be seen, grateful to be supported, and grateful for every good good neighbor helping us build this…one kid, one family, one artist and one neighbor at a time.

We’re proud to officially submit for the Neighbor Fest grant for the chance to receive $10,000 to pour more resources into our cultural arts program for kids🎶🎸🩰🎭📚

We are working to build NYC’s first Mexican centered arts institution for kids and teens, providing tuition free arts education while amplifying all Latine, Black, and Indigenous cultures.

Through our biggest program, Bushwick School of the Arts, our kids and teens have a place to sing, dance, act, create, tell their stories, build confidence, and see themselves and their cultures reflected in the arts. Entirely tuition free!

And behind all of this, we are simply a duo putting in the good good work every day because we believe in a brighter New York for our kids, our families, and our communities.

This video is a glimpse into the beautiful community we are building with the help of our good good fam.

Does your child love to sing, dance, act, or want to try? Join The Good Good Collective’s Bushwick School of the Arts for tuition free arts education! @bsanyc

Through music, theater, dance, and our Neurostage approach, we help students build their skills in reading, writing, and communication. Social and emotional learning (SEL) helps them build confidence, express their feelings, and connect with others.

LIMITED OPENINGS
Grades 3 through 5: 6 spots
Grades 6 through 11: 10 spots

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school until 6 p.m. Families must commit to all three days.

We start Monday, September 14!

30 tuition free spots:
15 kids, grades 3 through 5

This town has been a little too quiet without our Tejana Chingonx Superstar. Aleeza was out there crushing it at a dance residency in Vermont. How cool is that?!

No we’re reunited and it’s day 1 of Fall season preparations. @bsanyc Auditions this week, our students start next week, Latine Heritage Month Dance and Music classes and Muertos Arts Fest on the horizon.

A couple of weeks ago, we shared a heartfelt message about pausing programs and events after our funding efforts fell short.

Since then, incredible volunteers and some serious heavy hitters have stepped forward to help us.

So on that note…[drumroll plz]

NYC’s 2nd Annual Día de los Muertos Arts Fest is returning on Saturday, October 24th.

This year we’re making this our annual fundraising event. We are also bringing Mercado Good Good vendors into the festival while closing out Latine Heritage Month with puro puro cultura.

Save the date! We’ll have altars, a community ofrenda, 2 stages, live music, DJs, food, dance, workshops, arte, local vendors, and a community procession honoring deceased loved ones.

Free Family Friendly event and open to the public!

A few vendor spots remain. DM “GOOD VENDOR” for details.

Create your own Altar and Procession Applications are coming soon. Every procession entry must center a tribute to a deceased person or group of people.

We start working next week. If you would like to volunteer and help bring this cultural celebration to life, DM good volunteer!
