Wrath Of An Exile Review❤️‍🔥

Monty has a way of writing character so deep & real it feels as if you’re watching them on a movie screen. I was captivated by Phi & Jude’s hate to love relationship. there’s just something so beautiful about watching two people who wanna tear out each other’s hair out to becoming each other’s fiercest protectors.

Phi is everything I love in a FMC. She’s fiery, badass, and stubborn. she’s every bit both her parents, rook & sage. she’s such a beautiful & unique character, and packed with SO much complexity. She keeps her true self hidden and doesn’t let anyone get close to her.

listen, I did think Jude Sinclair was hot, but i didn’t really connect with him🫣 but I will say if there’s one thing I think he knows how to do it’s yearn!!! The only way I know how to describe the mouth on him is poetic filth🥵🪭

Idk how to describe phi & jude. They’re polar opposites but they also mirror each other???they have such a deeply passionate hate for each other and when they crash it’s absolute chaos. ALSOOOO!!! daddy rook was the BEST thing about this book. he was always looking out for his family and doing the best he could to provide their safety. I loved seeing him as a dad & father🤧

As always monty’s writing is so beautiful. however, i found the pace kinda slow after the first half, and the ending was a little too rushed for me. and i was kinda hoping for more closure….especially for phi. buttt i still enjoyed it(((: by @bsbookshelff

Leave Me Behind Review💀

The way I DEVOURED this book should be studied lol. it seriously cured my book slump. It was so entertaining & fast paced and unlike anything I’ve ever read. It was dark, gritty, and tender all the same time. It’s smutty in the best way, packed with action, deliciously dark plot twists, and filled with so many “OH FUCK” moments that made me stare at the wall in shock. it was seriously unlike any other romance book I’ve read.

Nell is such a badass and as lethal as they come. She’s a skilled killer and doesn’t think twice about killing someone. Hence the reason they call her “reaper”. She’s so strong, levelheaded, and calculated. Bones is a very complicated guy. He’s completely toxic, unhinged, & psychotic - and yet I couldn’t stop obsessing over him.

Nell & Bones were so HOT together🪭 The constant back and forth between their intimacy and their crueltywas so addictive. And watching their hatred turn into something much deeper, felt devastatingly poetic. They see each other for the monsters that they were created to be by the world around them.

📖what I’m reading: crescent city house of flame and shadow!! I’m about 10ish% into it and guys in literally kicking myself for not starting these sooner because they’re so freaking good👏😮‍💨

🎧what I’m listening to: knocked loose has been on repeat in the car and in the gym for me because i get to see them next month🤘 and also The third dungeon crawler carl book on audio! these have been the funnest books to listen to👑

Drive & Reverse Review🎸🖤

I feel like these books are under hyped?? Like everyone talks about the Ravenhood trilogy (and yeah, I do think it’s god tier so please don’t come for me), but I don’t hear anyone talking about this duet?? Which is crazy because it’s EVERYTHING.

i loved drive so much, but i loved reverse so much more…which i didn’t think was possible. Both books are devastatingly beautiful love stories centered around the love of music, family, and self discovery.

Sure there’s plenty of rockstar romances to choose from, but I feel good ones are kinda hard to come by. Very few capture the true heart of the rock star theme. The music, the thrill of the stage, the electricity, the suffering that bleeds into their lyrics, all consuming love - for the music and the characters. And in true Kate Stewart fashion she kills it in both of these books.

I don’t wanna say too much, because like always, I really think you should go into this one blind😉 but please i beg you to read this duet! by @bsbookshelff

I had been waiting to read Mia and Oliver’s story the moment I finished Fragmented Desires. And they didn’t disappoint🙂‍↔️

This is the second book in the West Haven series and fuck🫠 this is banter filled, raw, emotional, full of friendship, and full of love in all forms. I’ll always eat up a found family trope, and Mk has truly given us the best found family that there is with the series. No character is truly just a “side character” , I promise you’ll find something in each character that resonates with you somehow.

this book had me blushing hard!!! I blushed everytime Oliver calls Mia “pretty girl”…which was a lot. And yes, while this book is hot, this book is about making your way in the world when the odds are impossibly stacked against you. About really finding yourself and finding your people.

A Ballad of Phantoms & Hope💜

I saw someone say that Ophelia and Lanston gave Violet & Tate from AHS if they weren’t toxic, and I could agree more.

When I read The Fabric of Our Souls back in April, I had no idea how much it would hurt, but also heal me at the same time?? Usually, I read all the books in a series back to back - but this time, I couldn’t. I just needed to heal.

I have about a thousand quotes that mean so much to me, and it’s incredibly hard to put into words how tragically beautiful this book is. This book is a HEAVY representation of mental health. It’s tragic, tender, and devastating, and but also feels like a ray of hope in the middle of the darkness.
