Blissfully, I sculpt the medleys and melodies of body language - of human form and spirit.

Orphaned, and found objects eagerly anticipate my unfolding ideas. With presence, play, peace and possibility, a steady stream of “what-ifs” permeates my work space. Juxtaposed pieces eventually rejoice in serendipitous unity. Assemblages captivate me with their assortment of materials and ambiguous narratives. Those of Joseph Cornell, Louise Nevelson and Betye Saar leave me spellbound.

Our yard is a party of Houstonia caerulea, commonly called Bluets!
Every year, these clusters of delicate blue and white wildflowers multiply in the shade, moss and sparse grass creating a gorgeous carpet. This spring, they decided to frame the slate path leading to my studio. Thank you Mother Nature for blessing our grounds with beauty, and producing nectar and pollen for our short-tongued native bees with these symbols of hope and healing.
