BSG PROJECTS PRESENTS: AMY WRIGHT

HERE, THRIVING DESPITE IT ALL
1–18 OCT 2026
——
What better way to enjoy these long spring days than to bask amongst the lush greenery of Amy Wright's artworks?

Back open for viewing at the gallery today, Here, Thriving Despite It All is an exhibition of lush memories from far-off places, paired with the artist's awe and reverence for the persistence of nature.
——
Here, Thriving Despite It All explores the contrast between dense urban spaces and vast natural landscapes through Wright’s travels in New York City and Joshua Tree National Park, highlighting the resilience of nature in both environments.

Just as green shoots continually find ways to flourish amongst the concrete of Manhattan, Wright always finds colour there—whether in the materials of the city’s architecture or in the living world reflected in the towering glass structures of the metropolis.

Here, Thriving Despite It All echoes the artist’s experience of moving through these environments, capturing the quiet dialogue between cultivated and wild landscapes, permanence and change, and our enduring connection to the living world.

Here, Thriving Despite It All is presented by BSG Projects.
——
Visit our website for the full details of Here, Thriving Despite It All and further information on all current exhibitions or visit the gallery Tuesday–Saturday 10AM–5PM and Sunday 11AM–4PM.

2026 23rd Annual National Acquisitive $30,000 Paddo Painting Prize Finalist

Jill Daniels

Napurr Plain, 2026

Acrylic on Canvas
118 × 87 cm

For Sale
AUD $4,500

"This painting is of Narpurr, the stockman are mustering the cattle at Narpurr plain, taking the cattle to drink water from the billabong." – Jill Daniels

The Country around Ngukurr is pastoral land, shaped by dramatic seasonal change as the dry gives way to the wet. Cattle move across the landscape, while cowboys and cowgirls work in demanding conditions. Historically, Indigenous musterers worked as highly skilled trackers and riders, camping under the stars, finding water and bringing cattle back to the station. In this work, Daniels depicts cattle being herded towards a waterhole. The colours of the landscape shimmer between memory and observation, recalling seasonal flowers alongside the intense sun and red earth of the Northern Territory. The billabong here brims with life, providing respite for the cattle, while also quietly recalling the pastoral and colonial histories that have shaped this Country.

Artist Bio

Jill Daniels is a Ritharrŋu and Madarrpa woman from Ngukurr community whose vibrant paintings draw upon memory, Country and lived experience, bringing humour and energy to stories of community life.

BSG PROJECTS PRESENTS: DULCIE SHARPE

NGAYULU TJULPU TJUTA MUNU TJILKAMATA TJUTA PALYANTJAKU MUKURINGANYI
I LOVE MAKING BIRDS AND ECHIDNAS

1–18 OCT
——
BSG Projects is excited to announce our upcoming exhibition with multidisciplinary artist Dulcie Sharpe.
——
‘It is a good feeling doing my birds and echidnas. I like going home at the end of the day and telling everyone what I have been doing, tell them stories from my day.’
——
Dulcie Sharpe’s world is boldly colourful and full of joy.

Working across soft sculpture, textiles and painting, Dulcie’s playful figurations brim with densely layered colour, pattern and personality. Her works often portray her favourite animals: Tjulpu (birds) and Tjilkamata (echidnas).

Dulcie’s distinctive style translates seamlessly from fabric to painting on paper. Her delicate touch is reminiscent of the meticulous punching and stitching of her textile sculptures, with each mark methodically layered and highly considered. The intricate patterns of her Tjulpu and Tjilkamata are rendered with such detail that it is as though she were putting needle and thread to paper.

Her love of making is strengthened by being among her tight-knit community at the Art Centre at Yarrenyty Arltere Town Camp, Mparntwe, where she has been instrumental in fostering a safe and communal space for peop le to gather, create and keep culture strong through art.

Ngayulu Tjulpu Tjuta munu Tjilkamata Tjuta Palyantjaku Mukuringanyi (I Love Making Birds and Echidnas) is a declaration of joy from Dulcie herself. Her work is imbued with the happiness she finds in making—a happiness that, in turn, she shares with us.

FINAL DAY

BSG PROJECTS PRESENTS: NINTI
ARTISTS OF TJALA ARTS
——
We’ve been delighted to host not only a collection of exceptional artworks from Tjala Arts over the past few weeks, but also to have the privilege of welcoming travelling artists Cynthia Charra and Valerie Young, as well as team members from Tjala Arts, to the gallery.

Today is the final chance to catch Ninti at the gallery. We’re open from 11 AM–4 PM, so don’t miss your chance to experience these impressive works in person.
——
Ninti means "guiding" or "leading along".

In Amata, the artists of Tjala paint Country as both place and story. Their works carry the presence of ancestral lands, Tjukurpa and generations of knowledge, connecting what has come before with what lies ahead.

Through this painting and sharing of Tjukurpa, these artists continue to guide, teach and strengthen culture for those who follow. In this, Ninti is a movement between past and future–looking back to Country, drawing on embedded knowledge, and leading a path forward.

In Ninti the paintings are big, bold, and full of colour, and so are their stories. Ninti is proudly presented by BSG Projects in association with Tjala Arts.

1–18 OCT 2026
——
We are delighted to announce our upcoming exhibition with represented artist Amy Wright–another exceptional showcase of the artist's highly covetable work.
