I started writing this collection of songs a few years ago. Songs about grief, love and fuck ups that I’ve experienced over the last two decades or more. And the common theme in all of that is this place. Bushwick. A place I was either looking for, on my way to, leaving, or trying to find a way back. It was always there. It was a place that, when I first experienced it, made me feel like I belonged here in some way. And still to this day is finding new ways to welcome me. To make me feel like I can be the best version of the person I really am. And I have all of you to thank for that. My friends, you are the reason this place has so much life. All of you who are also building a life through art and creativity. You are the reason these songs carry weight. Every time we play a show I can see it more clearly. Where this music started as a way for me to process my own life has become a way for all of us to connect on a deeper level than I thought possible. The band plays and we all feel it. The invisible thing that ties everyone in the room together. This is only the beginning. There are still songs that haven’t been written yet. But when you hear them just know that you are as much a part of them as I am. They are yours as much as they are mine. Welcome to BSHWCK.

Thank you,
- Josh

This life is not so hopeless. by @bshwckbnd

I want to show some love to the best people and best band that anyone could ask for. There’s no way I could do what I’m doing if it wasn’t for the people in this video. Each one of them have their own projects, jobs, and life full of responsibilities and yet they still make the time to make this band a reality. I’m unbelievably fortunate to not only make music with them but to also call them my friends.
