I've got a brutal Summer cold flu thing. It's been over a week and trying all tips and tricks to get over this. But it's hanging on. Any recommendations on how you deal with these? What if your cold lasts more that a week and you have deadlines to record and your voice is very noticeably different, and wicked cough. (Luckily I don't right now have the deadline problem.) How do you deal with not getting your voice back in time?? Suggestions for us Newbies.#audiobooknarrator #narration #audiobookstagram #brutal #challenges by @bsnextchapter

Spent the evening last night auditioning, finally had a free evening and no Summer storms. Who knew there were going to be so many obstacles to recording. I mean once I had a booth and the sound correct I thought that was going to be the biggest issue. Who knew it was going to be also timing, weather, construction, car noises, neighbor noises, stomach noises, lawn care, birds, and alarms. Am I missing anything?? And then when I finally get in the booth can I find a good book to audition for? So many challenges. #audiobooth #audiobooknarrators #audiochallenges #Audiobooknarration #noises by @bsnextchapter

Question for fellow narrators... When sifting through ACX do you go through a bunch and find ones that you really like and are pulled to or connect with before you audition? Or do you audition for anything? Only a particular genre? Just curious.#audiobooknarrator #audiobooth #audiobooknarrators #acx #auditions by @bsnextchapter

Lots of cancellations due to weather but the rain was so much better than the heatwave we have been having. It was a shorter day due to thunderstorms. But these little faces sure make the conditions worth it. They are all amazing and remind me to never take life too seriously.#audiobooknarratorlife #sidejob #dogwalking #dogloversofinstagram #animallovers by @bsnextchapter

Please let me know if this happens to you? Or is it something as a newbie I just have to grow out of or is this something that happens regularly to people or only when you're tired?! #audiobooknarrator #audiobooks #narrators #questionforyou #audiobooth by @bsnextchapter

What do you do in every free moment you have? Read of course. Right now instead of a good book and sitting in the sunshine... I am in my booth in search for a good book online, looking for my next audition reading through samples on ACX and doing my homework. Cross checking to make sure I'm NOT auditioning for an AI book. I mean some are kind of obvious an author that releases 17 new books all in one day might be a giveaway. Or there is no author at all? There sure is a lot of AI on here now or at least what looks like it.#audiobooknarrator#acx #auditions #lifeofanaudiobooknarrator #humanvoicesonly by @bsnextchapter

If you are still looking for a narrator to collaborate with and participate on June 26, 2026 and don't know how? #humanvoicesonly. Please drop me a message. It doesn't have to be long, can be a short snippet of your new book, could be the description from the back, an in progress book, or already published. I would be willing to narrate it for free of course and it's a great way to support The human voices only movement. Thanks for your interest and support!! #audiobooknarrator #indieauthorsofinstagram #supporthumanvoicesonly#audiobooks by @bsnextchapter
