Hi friends! 👋 It’s been a while since we officially introduced ourselves. Brandon and I are the proud owners of British Swim School of Jacksonville Beaches – Orange Park.
Brandon retired in 2020 after 26 years of honorable service in the United States Navy 🇺🇸. While his uniform changed, our heart for serving our community never did—that’s where our swim school journey began.
As parents of five and grandparents to a sweet little girl, we know firsthand how important water safety is. It’s personal for us.
Every day, our mission is to serve our community by teaching life-saving swim skills and building confidence in the water—one swimmer at a time. 💙🏊‍♂️

As we look back on 2025, we’re filled with so much gratitude.

This year was about confidence gained, fears overcome, and hundreds of swimmers becoming stronger, safer, and more capable in the water. From first splashes to independent strokes, every milestone mattered, and we’re incredibly proud of the children and adults who showed up week after week and trusted British Swim School with their safety and growth.

Creating strong swimmers isn’t just about technique. It’s about confidence, life skills, and peace of mind for families. Watching swimmers learn to thrive in the water safely is why we do what we do.

As we head into 2026, we’re excited for what’s ahead. More lessons. More progress. More confidence. And even more children and adults learning how to be safe, capable swimmers for life.

Your swimmer worked hard to learn new skills this summer. Continuing with weekly lessons gives them more opportunities to practice, strengthen those skills and keep building confidence in the water.

Meet our littlest swimmers: Tadpoles! 🐸💦

Tadpole lessons introduce babies as young as three months old to the water in a gentle, supportive environment alongside a parent or guardian. Through songs, guided activities and plenty of encouragement, our youngest swimmers begin building comfort in the water while families learn how to support their water safety journey.

What if my child cries or feels afraid during swim lessons? It’s completely normal. 💙

New surroundings, separation anxiety and fear of the water can all bring up big feelings, especially during those first few lessons. Our instructors are trained to meet swimmers where they are and help them build comfort and confidence at their own pace.

With patience, consistency and encouragement, those first-day nerves can turn into meaningful water safety progress. 💦

Why swim year-round? Because swimming skills are built through consistency. 🏊

Weekly lessons give swimmers more opportunities to practice, build on what they’ve learned and become more comfortable and confident in the water. Continued practice also helps keep important water safety skills fresh, because water is part of life in every season. 💦
