I love my bestfriend and his desire to always choose me as his arm candy for events that are meaningful and full of purpose. It’s always a treat to be able to turn heads and break some necks throughout the night 🖤

HA, in all seriousness- what a joy it was to be in the presence of such greatness and kindness. The Illustrious Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity hosts the Toy Merit Dance/Drive annually, with the intention of giving back to children who are less fortunate and underserved. As we all know, getting into the festive spirit emotionally and financially can be a feat for many, and so having a charitable heart for our little ones during the holidays goes a long way. In also funding educational programs that affect minority youth specifically, all participants at the merit gala that donated monetarily left an intentional mark in giving access and visibility to resources that as we know would potentially go unseen. It was so inspiring to see what successful, black minds can do when we put our time and money together for the greater good of our own people. In LIVING color, over 15K was donated in a span of 30 minutes, while the donation bar consistently continued to rise thereafter. To soak in such a monumental moment in such a small, time-window was something you just truly had to see for yourself. Every dollar, large or small can be a significant difference in the life of another and its events like so that bring that simple notion back into perspective. Shoutout to the Alpha men and all the gorgeous women that were present, some of the “Divine Nine” and some that were just FINE, for facilitating such a heartwarming program.
