Every day I’m somewhere between creating, teaching, directing, and mothering and somehow it all blends together like choreography… or shall I say, #Swanography_ ?!😏🖤🦢

As promised, I said I’d start sharing more for my birthday month and I never got the chance to share that I’ve been back at CAPA, but this time with the Seniors! For the past two and a half years, I’ve been working with the Juniors (if you remember “Gravity,” and last year’s works “Reasons” and “No More Drama” 😌)

Now, I get to send off the Class of 2026 for both the Annual Winter Show and Spring Concert and y’all should already know, I gotta send them off right. This year we’ll be performing Repertory Title: “Two Steps Away” for the Winter Show.

IYKYK, one thing about it, we’re always going to dance from the heart. We tell stories. We hit and find every beat, moment, lyric, and emotion. I always tell my students, my company, whomever… “Don’t just dance to the music, dance with the music.” And as we were closing out, one of my students told me, “I just love Swanography,” and I said, “I love giving it to y’all.”

Stay tuned for December 2025 and May 2026 trust me, you don’t want to miss it. They’re going to give you a show.

As we’re gearing up for the premiere of “BLXCK SWAN”

My CAPA seniors @_theofficialcapadance will also be performing this ballet for their LAST Spring Concert (May 20-22nd @ 6pm) So if you’ll miss @bswandancecompany on May 3rd… they got y’all. I got 5 on it💅🏽Here’s a highlight of some BTS of the leading cast.

I am beyond proud of everything they’ve poured into this moment, and even more grateful to share this final chapter with them before they step into the world.

And a BIG shoutout to all of the seniors. So excited to witness Decision Day announcements in a few hours. I am sooo proud of each and every one of YOU. What’s next is already yours!

Just a new season of me… 9 months PP! Learning a body that’s been through war, learning an artistry that’s been reborn, honoring the woman and the mother I am today.

The marley feels like a battlefield, but still a home. The stage still calls not gently, but truthfully. And my purpose STILL stands… unapologetically.

And the story was told!

Back in October, during our creative process, I shared a behind-the-scenes moment of putting this piece together. From that moment on, they never let go of one thing: “tell your story” 😂

And when I tell you… they told it.
Three days straight…. Every movement, every breath, every second on that stage came from something real. Tonight, the final show, it all hit at once. Tears were flowing. Emotions were high. The seniors are literally “2 Steps Away” @mspattilabelle from graduating Class of 2026 and it felt heavy in the best way 🥹

I am so grateful. So blessed. I truly love being a part of the staff here at CAPA. These kids bring out the best in themselves and they bring out the best in me. I love it here.

As always, big Congratulations and thank YOU to the Biggest Director, the leadership, @mossteph_ ! You did it, again and I’m beyond thankful to be a part yet another year. 🫶🏾

I’m currently working on my first ballet titled, “Blxck Swan”, with @bswandancecompany (1st company), and I’ve truly been enjoying this process more than anything. So excited to share this debut at our Annual Concert in May 2026. Stay tuned 🖤🦢
