Recently the Better Than Yesterday team got the opportunity to do some team training in Hawaii! Here are some of the main takeaways from Drew: -You're in a restaurant. As a leader, checking temperatures is a required role. Approaching it with a sense of joy and good job as opposed to catching people doing something wrong is the difference. Lead with fun and joy. Your team may appreciate it! -Create a positive atmosphere. When entering a program of mine, music is playing, and quotes are scrolling. Why? I want the participants to know that this is not their normal quite boring training experience. -As operators, we're keyed to find what's wrong and tell the solution. It seems like the fastest way yet change doesn't occur. -How we interact creates change. If we believe we have all the answers, we may lead our team done a path with little or no results. If we observe, we may adjust our own biases and get to the root of the issue. ❇️Interested in signing up for the next training? When asked “are you telling your team good job every day?” I usually answer no. You need to tell your team “good job!” everytime they do something good, “Great job!” when they do something great. Lastly, have a coaching moment with them every time they do some that doesn’t create the desired result. One of my longer favorite quotes, yet one we easily forget. 🏷️ #TrainWithBTY #BTY #consulting #growth #change #BetterThanYesterday #changeyourthoughts #changeyourmindset #training #development #leadership #management #stressmanagement #growthmindset #personalgrowth #coachinglife #wisdom #quote #edwardthorndike by @btyconsulting
