I’m going to sneak one last story in before the week is over! Thanks so much for sharing your story Reethu 🫶🏼

My main takeaway from all these stories?…Just like Reethu says “…every mother’s experience is different, and while the beginning may be difficult, it can get better with time, support, and patience.“

“I am Reethu ,a mom to an 18-month-old. I would like to share my breastfeeding journey to encourage other mothers who may be facing similar challenges.
My breastfeeding journey didn’t start the way I expected. In the beginning, I experienced severe pain and developed mastitis. The pain was so intense that I thought I might have to stop breastfeeding. My midwife prescribed medication, and although it took time to recover, I continued breastfeeding. After the mastitis healed, I still struggled with recurring nipple cracks, which made feeding painful and difficult

Before becoming a mother, I thought breastfeeding would come naturally and be easy. Instead, I learned that it can be physically and emotionally challenging. However, things started to improve around the fourth month as my body adjusted. By the fifth month, breastfeeding became much easier, and my milk supply matched my baby’s needs. From that point on, I truly began to enjoy the experience and cherish the special bond it created between my baby and me

Looking back, I’m so glad I didn’t give up. My journey taught me that every mother’s experience is different, and while the beginning may be difficult, it can get better with time, support, and patience. To every mother who is struggling, you’re not alone, and seeking help can make a big difference.”
