Today, on International Day of Peace, people around the world are filling the air with bubbles. 🫧

It’s part of Bubbles Not Bombs — a growing movement bringing play and moments of joy to children living through war and displacement.

Bubbles are already reaching children in Gaza, Sudan, Lebanon and beyond.

Now, they have an ambitious goal: reach 500,000 children.

They’re raising £200,000 to make it happen.

Because children living through war are still children. And play is not a luxury.

🫧 Help Bubbles Not Bombs reach half a million children. Donate at chuffed.org/BubblesNotBombs by @bubblesnotbombs

At Bubbles Not Bombs we understand the importance of play to navigate fear and loss. Using our bubble recipe, our friends at The Sameer Project in Gaza have applied a game designed by Bubbles Not Bombs Ambassador @sabouny_ of @clownmein in Lebanon, where children focus fears into the spheres of bubbles, popping them away and replacing them with their hopes and desires.

This dear child wishes to be reunited with her martyred mother.

//The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality//

🌍 It’s official.

Global Bubbles Not Bombs Day is happening.

On 21st September – International Day of Peace – children living through war will make bubbles.

We’re inviting the rest of the world to join them.

🫧 Schools.
🫧 Families.
🫧 Community groups.
🫧 Festivals and bubble performers.
🫧 Anyone who believes childhood should be protected.

Making bubbles won’t end war but it will send a powerful message to children living through it:

You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone. If you are in a war zone and wish to take part please get in touch.

Scan the QR code or visit the link in our bio to register your interest.

Then please share this post as widely as you can.

Every new group that joins makes this movement stronger.

Every bubble shares hope.

Thank you to all of our partners & sponsors for standing in solidarity with @the_sunoffreedom and the work we do for the people of Gaza. Literally can't do this without all of you. 💛

Getting bubbles to Sudanese children who have reached the refugee camps on the Chad border was never going to be smooth sailing.

And as promised here’s an update on our shipment that is heading out to these precious children.

Our boxes have got stuck. This happens on such a regular basis to so many of our shipments we would be surprised if things went smoothly!!

So current tracking is showing it in Cameroon. Why is it stuck? At the moment we don’t know. Again, finding out this detail is also a challenge.

But of course we are on it, and we will keep you updated the minute it is released!

In the meantime, if anyone has contacts in Cameroon who can help let us know :)

We are so grateful to @decolonizesudan for all their coordination, their tireless work and advocacy.

Please consider supporting these two vital organisations. 🙏🏼

❤️ by @bubblesnotbombs

Spent some beautiful moments with the children, surrounded by bubbles, laughter, and endless little smiles. 🫧🤎✨

Sometimes, the simplest moments bring the greatest joy. 🫶🏻
