When you know how horrific a person can treat you with not an ounce of genuine remorse, you see the world differently.

REACTIVE ABUSE 🗣

Reactive abuse is when someone deliberately pushes you, over and over, until you reach a breaking point. They know exactly which buttons to press and what words to say to push you to the edge. And when you finally snap, maybe you yell, cry, say or do something out of character, they use that reaction as “proof” to make you look like the problem.

YOU ARE NOT THE ABUSER.
YOU ARE BEING ABUSED.

These abusers are so calculated that they might even record your reaction. They know you’re about to break, so they’re ready, camera in hand, to catch that one explosive moment. And later, they’ll use that recording against you. They’ll twist it to control the narrative.

This recording is their “evidence” to paint you as the unstable one, to tell others a story that isn’t the full picture. But they won’t show what led to that reaction. They won’t show the constant poking, the manipulation and lies, the emotional battering, the bullying and threats that pushed you there. They’ve set you up in a way that’s designed to destroy your confidence and make you question your own reality.

If you’ve ever found yourself reacting in ways that feel totally out of character, screaming, saying things you regret, or breaking down in tears, know this is not who you are. It’s a response to being emotionally cornered. They’ve trapped you in a cycle that keeps you doubting yourself and makes you feel like you’re the problem.

This is not a one-time argument. Reactive abuse is a repeated, intentional tactic.

It is NOT your fault. You’re not a bad person. You are someone who has been manipulated to the point of breaking by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.

Sending you strength and support. You’re not alone 💓

Three sentences.

I believe you.
You did nothing wrong.
This was not your fault.
