MADE IN VENICE:
The Book and its Shapes
January 11th - 19th, 2027

In conjunction with its exhibition, The Book and Its Shapes, the Marciana Library in Venice will host three special workshops in January 2027. The workshops explore contemporary approaches to codex binding with particular attention to functionality, flexibility, structural behaviour and their relevance to binders and book conservators.
The programme brings together three internationally recognised binders:
Kylin Lee, Lori Sauer, and Suzanne Schmollgruber, each leading a two-day workshop. Participants may enrol in one, two, or all three workshops.
While the workshops are held in the Marciana Library, located in St Marks's Square, all administration, enrolment and payment is handled through BINDING re:DEFINED.
