National Record Mart Eastland Mall in 1976. A young guy goes in with some birthday money looking for his next musical adventure. He's an Elvis lover who recently stumbled onto KISS and their Dressed To Kill package. He scans every letter in the alphabetically organized carnival of sounds. He keeps going back to one. It just sounds cool. It sounds like what he was feeling about music. There, on the black cover in bold red letters with white lightning bolts, it caught his eye. It said BLACK SABBATH-WE SOLD OUR SOULS TO ROCK'N'ROLL. I mean c'mon!! How cool is that? He puts his money down and takes home the 8 track version. To say my life was changed forever would not do justice to it. 11-12 year old me spent hours listening and memorizing every note and line of this compilation. It was glorious. Thank you Ozzy for being that vulnerable voice behind those cosmic riffs. You were flawed and fantastic. You were human and superhuman. You will always be legendary. by @buckeyeboss15

Late summer of 1968 my Mom took us to the Schottenstein's Discount Department Store on Parsons Ave in Columbus, Ohio. Time to pick out fall pajamas. She gave me a cowboy theme, space theme, plain blue, and a white pair with a football team on it. The team, the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams pajamas came with a poster, so I picked them. Plus, the helmet had a cool horn on it. The poster was a Leroy Nieman style color ink drawing. The main subject was a guy taking the snap. He was number 18 and had jet black hair that flipped out the back of his helmet. He was cool, and I was hooked. The Rams became my team. He was my quarterback. 55 years later the Rams are still my team, and Roman Gabriel will always be my quarterback. by @buckeyeboss15
