This month, we’re giving a well-deserved shoutout to Carson Kukak!

Carson may have joined the team a little later in the season, but he jumped in two feet first and hasn’t looked back. With the recent storm work throwing just about everything at our crews, Carson has quickly become an integral part of keeping things moving and getting the work done.

No matter how long or hectic the day gets, you can also count on Carson to be the one cracking a joke and keeping everyone laughing along the way.

Thanks for stepping up, working hard, and being such a great addition to the crew, Carson. Congrats on being our Lumberjack of the Month! by @bucks.tree.service.ltd

You can probably find someone cheaper.

But when it comes to tree work, the price isn't the whole story.

There's a difference between someone who can cut down a tree and someone who understands trees.

At Buck's, our ISA Certified Arborists consider the tree's health, structure, condition and surroundings before making the first cut. We use industry standards and Best Management Practices to guide our pruning work, and we're COR Certified, WCB covered and properly insured.

That's especially important when you're working on an acreage where there might be a house, shop, vehicles, fences and a whole lot of property underneath that tree.

So before you compare quotes, compare what's actually included.

Because you're not just paying for the tree to come down. You're paying for how it comes down. 🌳

No branch left behind. 🫡

The climbers send it down. The ground crew makes it disappear. Just another day keeping the chipper hungry. by @bucks.tree.service.ltd

Winter might not be the season for much yard work, but your trees are an exception. 🌳

With the leaves off, it’s easier to see dead, damaged and problem branches that might need some attention. Winter pruning can also make it easier to assess the tree’s structure and plan ahead before everything starts growing again.

And if you’ve got an elm in Edmonton, October 1 to March 31 is the time to get it pruned. Elm pruning is restricted during the warmer months to help reduce the spread of Dutch elm disease.

So while the yard’s quiet, take a look up.

Not sure what your trees need?

And so the Buck’s Walk-Out Song Chronicles continue… 🎶🪓

Apparently one video wasn’t enough to showcase the musical taste happening around here.

More crew members. More dramatic entrances. More questionable song choices. And absolutely no shortage of confidence. 😂

At this point, we might have to start making walk-out songs a mandatory part of the morning routine.

Who do you think understood the assignment this time? 👇🌲 by @bucks.tree.service.ltd

We’ll be over here climbing trees, running saws, getting covered in sawdust, and pretending Alberta weather doesn’t bother us.

What do we do for fun?

Climb trees. Run saws. Make a hell of a lot of sawdust. 🌳🪚

Throw in a few big removals, some questionable Alberta weather, and a crew that knows how to get after it.

Pretty decent way to spend a day if you ask us.
