❄️ a little snow couldn’t stop friends in south #Bucks from coming out to our first meeting of the year! We were lucky to have candidates for State Representative, State Senate, and Congress!

We opened our meeting with a moment of silence for those murdered by ICE/CBP Agents, and the ongoing suppression of freedoms by federal forces.

The murders of Renee Nicole Good, Alex Pretti, Keith Porter Jr & too many others at the hands of ICE agents are unacceptable and devastating. These are not isolated incidents. They are part of an aggressive surge of unchecked power that has terrorized communities, blocked independent investigations and taken lives with little accountability.

We are deeply angered by the way the lives of the victims have been reduced to distortions and falsehoods. Attempts to degrade their character, spread misinformation & justify violence against them are not only cruel, but they are deliberate efforts to evade accountability. We reject these lies and unequivocally condemn the false narratives used to excuse their murders.

The lack of transparency, obstruction of independent investigations & continued deployment of ICE and Border Patrol agents in our communities demand action. We must stand up to injustice together, as silence only allows it to continue. by @bucksyoungdems

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership in the fight for racial justice, civil rights & human dignity reshaped this country and continues to demand our action

The civil rights Dr King fought for are under direct assault. From voter suppression and racialized policing to the atrocities currently being performed by ICE, systems of power continue to dehumanize Black and brown communities through family separation, detention, deportation and even death.

Dr. King taught us that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Honoring his legacy means refusing silence and confronting these harms head-on. His work reminds us that justice requires courage, community & relentless action to dismantle oppression and create real change. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼 by @bucksyoungdems
