ANKC Golden puppy born 22nd December, 2018. I live with my Mum, Dad and the two dirtbag brothers on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

POSTS STORIES REELS

This one belongs on the grid. For more than a year we have been eligible and attempting Ultimate searches in ANKC Scentwork trials all over NSW. We have come sooo close sooo many times and yesterday we finally got one. I have to say that the majority of our failures have been my handlers fault (yes Mum and Dad, I'm talking to you😆🙄) and I am very happy and relieved that they are finally starting to bloody listen to me. We came away with third place yesterday (full disclosure only three dogs passed so I did a Bradbury there ⛸️) and got quite the haul!! Thanks to @pointerclubnsw for a truely great trial, and for all of my goodies.

Fancy photos of me doing my thing. The hide in the camper was tricky. I knew it was in there somewhere, took me a minute to pinpoint it though. Fun!

Last night I competed in scentwork masters containers at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. It was held in the dog ring where there have been days of conformation shows so there was an abundance of random dog smells all over the place, it is next to the rides so it was super noisy, and we don’t normally compete in front of an audience. It was all so distracting!! But Dad pulled out the big guns, aka liverwurst, and I nailed that search!! Not only was it my first ever pass in masters containers, but I came 1st!! Whaaat??!! Me, Dad and Mum had a brilliant time, and I got some major love afterwards.

In masters containers there are between one and three ‘hides’ and I have to let whoever is handling me know where they are and when I have found them all, and do that within the time limit that is set by the judge. Some of the containers have food and non food distractors in them that I have to ignore, even though I really want to hang around and have a good sniff of them😬

Shout out to @sniffnlearn for all of the training and encouragement we have received along the way, and to @equestrianlover567 for coming to hold Mums hand while she watched from the nosebleeds so I didn’t know she was there❤️

Me and Dad are going to be on TV! We spent some time with Dr Harry and the crew from Better Homes and Gardens to help @veronicascanineconcepts promote scent work. We had such a fun time! Tune in this Friday the 21st on channel 7 to see us in action.

What a weekend! We competed in the Port Stephen’s Dog Club scent work trial and then whipped up the coast to compete in Grafton. Mum and Dad have dear friends that we stayed with, and I had my friend McKenzie waiting at my door every morning. I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired.

This one deserves to go on the grid. Came 1st in excellent exteriors at Hills Dog Club scentwork trial today! Mum is so happy because she has struggled with excellent exteriors, so this is a huge win for her. Well me really because I do all the work, but I’ll let her have her moment. Thanks so much to our awesome trainer @sniffnlearn and also the trainers at @nsdtc for starting us on this journey.

Gained my first title today, and topped it off with my first ever place in a trial. Me and the rents are loving our scent work. 👃🥈
