Less than a month before this fight, I had to make the decision to take my mom off life support. Someone I never had a real relationship with, yet I was faced with one of the hardest choices of my life. The pain I carried into this fight was unmatched. Even now, looking back, it still brings tears to my eyes. Walking into that cage against a veteran, all I could think was, ‘Are you crazy? Why are you doing this? You should’ve pulled out.’ But I didn’t. After the fight, all I could do was cry and hold a picture of my mom. Even though we never got the chance to truly know each other, I know she was with me that night… and I’m still fighting to get back to that water buffalo. Missing the game by @buffalomma8
