Met my friend one more time before leaving Vietnam. We decided to gift each other 1 book each.
I decided to gift her "Atomic Habits" a book that has significantly helped me change very many parts of my life. She gifted me a book named "Mine".
I hope that the book helps her grow even more as it has helped me. And that the next time we meet we are both better people for it.

From meeting old friends to making new ones.
Hoi An is one of the most special places I have visited in my life.
Although I have traveled alone quite often i don't think i was ever particularly been good at it.
While the cloudy conditions made for excellent photos, it started to rain. My one day in Hoi An was about to be washed-out.
While i took temporary shelter in a cafe and started appreciating my own photography. I saw Duc walk in with a DSLR round his neck.
Without thinking I walked upto him and said "bro i took this really awesome pic. Check this out"
What followed were perhaps the most awkward 2 minutes of my life. He didnt know how to react and I didnt know what more to say.
But after those 2 mins what followed waa a lovely conversation about our lives while it rained outsied one the lovely streets of Hoi An.

As an extrovert who is stuck inside an introver's mind. Im not comfortable with talking to strangers. But on that rainy day I pushed myself. Rather than sit sulking watching the rain I tried to talk to people and eventually I made a friend.

No matter what else is true. I know that I will leave Vietnam with more friends than I came here with. by @buggsfunnie

In 2010 I was stupid. I had almost no friends. I was starting learning Korean and had in 2010 that was enough to alienate whoever was still part of my social group. I had facebook though. And friends who were spread across the world. It was meant to be nothing for most it was a way to pass time. For me it was my social group. In 2010 who understood this? I was told to end this make belief. To be a part of the reall world. To make real friends.
Today i met someone I had started chating with in 2010. It must have started with an stupid meaning less "hi" but today it turned into something more.
I have seen this friend start and graduate university, get her first job and her promotion. I have seen her start her business. Today I saw "her" in real.
Maybe for her this meeting was like any other but to me it gave meaning to the time even i had almost convicned myself was a waste. by @buggsfunnie

TL;DR
I started doing comedy a year ago and it was always with the aim of starting conversations about issues that affect all of us and make them part of ordinary discourse. Be it racism, sexism or environment.
So, when after talking for 10 mins about how I wosh people were not seen just as their nationality but as individuals with unique likes dislikes and personalitoes. In one single conversation I hear those 6 sentences I wonder if there is any meaning to this at all.
But stubborn as I am, I recognize that this is the exact reason I am doing it.
But don't come up to me and treat me like a Wikipedia page about India. I will no longer be polite.
