Wow!

When I found this car four years ago, I knew where it was going for its proper detail. As I have enjoyed his channel for years, I knew Larry at @ammonyc was the man for the job and he did it in spectacular Larry fashion!

It has been a long wait and lots labor to get my @Honda #S2000 to this point. Thanks to @maazashfaq for being my #S2000 brother and uncle Prakash @mitesh318 for the ride in his #R35 #GTR to pick it up after detailing. Thanks to @thes2000source for the new top and amazing attention to detail.

The last remaining bits on the #Hakfabrication fuel tank before installing the pumps.

After having Jason, a gem of a guy, at #Vaporhone zinc plate the filler neck and clamps, it was time to come up with a solution for the vent tube. It has been discontinued by @mazdausa and @mazda_jp so a different solution was in order.

Everything is stainless steel and fuel rated so #E85 won’t be an issue.

Oh, and a new ground cable as well for the filler neck as well. by @build.jdm

The rear subframe with #Ford88 conversion is FINALLY done. It took way longer than expected. Thanks to @vapor_hone for the beautiful zinc plating, @static.coating for the powdercoating and Joel at Ronin for his impeccable customer service!

Before anyone asks, #Tein Flex Z was my choice of coilovers because I always wanted a car with their #EDFC setup way back in the mid-2000s. by @build.jdm

I found while assembling the brakes on the rear subframe that my rear rotors would not slide over the hub. I had to pull each knuckle and press out the hub and NEW bearing to get it machined to the correct specifications. These were a version of early Ronin hubs which had this issue.

I could have machined the brake rotor but no shady work here. Back to reassembly now.

Making progress on the rear suspension. This has taken much longer than expected! I need some custom #ABS rings to fit these #Ford axles and now those have arrived, assembly can resume on the #FD3S!

It’s taken a while to get here due to part delays and missing pieces but it is finally time to start reassembly of the rear subframe. Thanks to @VaporHone for the fresh hardware which really ties everything together.

No guessing around here. Decided the use silver metallic as my indicator of torqued hardware since it matches the #Ford differential cover.

I was in #Japan at #TAS2026 when I stopped by the #ToneTools booth and saw these little pieces. I picked up the standard metric sizes and sure enough, they did not disappoint! They function as the perfect extension so your torque wrench can fit in all the tight places. by @build.jdm

It is finally time to install my refreshed #FD3S #RX7 rear suspension parts. Every piece was vapor honed and then clear #POR15 to preserve it. New J-Auto pillow balls and #Superpro bushings were installed. The knuckles received new wheel bearings and Ronin 8.8 Grande hubs. Time to get it all installed with freshly zinc plated hardware from @Vapor_hone! by @build.jdm

Time to press in some #Superpro bushings for my #FD3S control arms.

This is the time consuming and detail oriented part of building a car that most won’t see unless they are doing it themselves. Patience is key.
