PROJECT AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT | Buildcorp Victoria is thrilled to be partnering with @cbusproperty and @colessupermarkets on the transformation of 720 Bourke Street.

Following the successful delivery of Australia's largest commercial building electrification project, Buildcorp will deliver Coles' new Victorian Support Centre, supporting the relocation of its operations for thousands of team members to one of Melbourne's most progressive and sustainable commercial neighbourhoods – the Southern Cross Precinct.

The project will create a future-focused workplace designed to support engagement through collaboration, innovation, wellbeing and flexibility. Tailored to meet the evolving needs of a modern workforce, Cole’s new home will include multi-floor workspaces, client suites, innovation labs, specialist test and filming kitchens, a recording studio, significant wellness facilities, a large social hub, VR training facility, and dedicated event and conference spaces, all connected by vast interconnecting stairs.

The broader precinct will feature a Coles supermarket, while base-building works include a new plant room, lift core reconfigurations, and a reconceived arrivals area, further enhancing the experience for employees, customers and visitors.

This project represents more than a workplace relocation. It is an investment in the future of work, sustainability and city-shaping infrastructure, transforming an iconic asset and bringing together a shared vision to create a connected, high-performing offering.

CARSELDINE VILLAGE TOPS OUT | Reaching the highest point of the structure at Carseldine Village marks an important milestone in the delivery of 152 social and affordable homes for the Queensland community.

Buildcorp was proud to celebrate the occasion alongside @sgch_ltd and our project partners as the seven-storey development reached its highest point.

More than 153,000 hours have been worked on site, with 1,156 workers inducted and First Nations people representing 5.9% of the project workforce inducted to date. Together, the team has poured 6,835m³ of concrete and installed 1,153 precast panels and columns. Targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating, Carseldine Village will combine high-quality, energy-efficient design with much-needed social and affordable housing.

The celebration also recognised the contribution of proud Larrakia woman and contemporary First Nations artist Lisa Caruana, who has been commissioned to create public artwork for the development. As part of the traditional topping out ceremony, Buildcorp presented a tree to St George Community Housing, recognising the collective effort behind reaching this milestone and looking ahead to a safe and successful completion.

BUILDCORP VICTORIA RUGBY, SPORTS & LEADERSHIP LUNCH | Yesterday, we were delighted to bring our Rugby, Sports & Leadership Lunch to Melbourne, welcoming clients, colleagues and friends to the iconic MCG for an afternoon of connection and shared stories from across sport and business.

We were privileged to hear from former AFL player and executive Andrew Ireland and former Captain of the Australian Women’s Cricket team Belinda Clark AO, whose perspectives reflected the values at the heart of these lunches: teamwork, resilience, authenticity and a commitment to continual growth.

While rugby remains central to the series, these events have grown into something much broader - a forum for leaders and change-makers from across Australian sport and business to share ideas and connect as a community.

As our final rugby lunch for 2026, Melbourne was a fitting way to close the series. Thank you to our speakers for sharing their time and insights, and to everyone who joined us across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this year. Your continued support makes these events so special.

CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY FOR 111 NEW HOMES | Project partners gathered at 338 Botany Road, Alexandria to mark the start of construction with a sod turn ceremony, celebrating an important milestone in the delivery of much-needed housing.

Buildcorp is proud to be delivering permanent social and affordable homes for St George Community Housing (SGCH), with support from Housing Australia and the @cityofsydney.

We were pleased to mark the occasion alongside the Lord Mayor of Sydney, @clovermoore, @sgch_ltd, Housing Australia, @dko_architecture and our broader consultant and subcontractor team.

Delivering a project of this scale on a constrained inner-city site requires careful staging, detailed logistics management and close coordination with neighbouring businesses, residents and stakeholders. Through early planning and close coordination with project partners, our team is focused on achieving the best outcomes while maintaining a safe and efficient construction environment.

This milestone reflects what can be achieved when community housing providers, government and industry align behind a common goal. Our team is proud to bring the experience, planning and coordination needed to turn that vision into a place people can call home.

The project continues Buildcorp’s longstanding partnership with SGCH and builds on our experience delivering social and affordable housing projects across Australia, including the major Carseldine development currently underway in Queensland.

BRISBANE CORPORATE TENS 2026 | Buildcorp Queensland team took part in the 19th annual Brisbane Corporate 10s, supporting Youngcare alongside a fantastic field of corporate teams.

Now in our fifth year participating, it was great to once again be part of an event that brings people together for a worthy cause. There was an outstanding turnout across all teams, making for another memorable day of rugby, camaraderie and fundraising.

After claiming the title in 2025, the Buildcorp team returned to the final this year, finishing runners-up to hosts @blue_commercial in the decider. Congratulations to Blue Commercial on the win and thank you for organising another successful event.

A special thank you to First Line Engineering, @newnhamscaffolding, Sturdie, Zico Formwork, Pryde Projects, Rosenlund Group and WorkCon.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone involved for helping raise awareness and support for Youngcare and the important work they do for young Australians living with high care needs.

ASK R U OK? ANY DAY | This week marked R U OK? Day for 2026 – Australia's national day of action, to remind us that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference.

The message of R U OK? Day encourages us to check in with the people around us throughout the year, not just on one day. Life's challenges don't follow a calendar, and a genuine conversation can provide support when it's needed most.

On September 10 across Buildcorp and @eurolinejoinery offices and project sites, our teams came together for morning teas and toolbox talks to connect, start conversations and reinforce the importance of looking out for one another.

HSF KRAMER FITOUT, 360 QUEEN STREET | The completion of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer’s new Brisbane workplace at 360 Queen Street highlights Buildcorp's expertise in delivering premium workplace environments in complex live settings, with the 4,740m² fitout delivered across three high-rise levels within a compressed program.

Designed to support an exceptional client experience and market-leading legal practice, the new workplace includes multiple private offices, open-plan work areas, meeting and collaboration spaces, a premium reception, commercial kitchen, café, Wintergarden, outdoor terrace and a striking three-level interconnecting stair that connects teams across Levels 31-33.

Delivering a project of this scale within a live commercial environment drew on Buildcorp's extensive experience in premium workplace fitouts. Working within an occupied tower required careful coordination with building management and other tenants, alongside detailed planning around goods lift access, staged deliveries, site logistics and after-hours works.

Through early planning, digital scanning, detailed services coordination and close collaboration with project partners, the team successfully integrated complex mechanical, electrical, fire, security and AV systems while maintaining program certainty in a highly constrained environment.

The result is one of Brisbane's newest premium workplaces, designed to support contemporary legal practice while delivering an exceptional experience for employees and clients alike.

2026 WINNER - MASTER BUILDERS VICTORIA | We’re incredibly proud to share that Buildcorp has won the 2026 Master Builders Victoria Excellence in Fit-out over $10M for Corrs Chambers Westgarth workplace, Melbourne.
