For a long time, I thought "keeping the peace" meant keeping quiet. I thought if I just adjusted my expectations, accommodated everyone else, and compromised on what I deserved, things would stay smooth.

But here’s the universal truth: peace built on your silence isn’t peace it’s self betrayal.

The moment you decide to hold your standard and stand firmly in your worth, something interesting happens. You don't even have to force people out. The wrong ones will naturally distance themselves because they can no longer access the version of you that accepted bare minimum effort.
