Years ago, Josh and I stopped buying anniversary gifts and started doing DIY projects to commemorate each year.

This year, we made 'I love you because' boards to sit on our nightsands. Each night, we'll take a moment to write down one reason we love each other, and in the morning, we get to read what the other wrote. It’s a small but beautiful reminder of why we fell in love and continue to choose each other every day. by @buildingwithbrosh

I told Josh we've really lived out our vows over these last 4 years. For better or worse, in sickness and in health, for poorer...we just need to get rich now lol.

But in all seriousness, I thank God for this life. I'm really married to my best friend and love of my life and we are building a life we love. I am so grateful. Happy Anniversary babe @djtwin1324 by @buildingwithbrosh

October 12, 2019. The day we said “I do” and started this forever for real. Looking back at our engagement photos and wedding pictures has me thinking about how far we've come. We’ve grown and changed so much. One thing that hasn't changed though..

You're still my person, still my best friend and we're still building this life together.

Having a child with a 131 IQ means he's constantly saying things to me like I’m supposed to just know what he's talking about.

Today he made a carbon nanotube out of beads.

Do yall think I knew what are carbon nanotube was? Absolutely not!!

Honestly, should I feel bad as a parent? Lol. Because I don't even pretend to know when it comes to Jace. I'm going straight to Google.

At this point, he's teaching me and I'm just here to provide snacks, Wi-Fi, and emotional support. by @buildingwithbrosh

Mama, look at what you’re building.

You’re building faith.
You’re building family.
You’re building a home.
You’re building creativity.
You’re building confidence.
You’re building a beautiful life.

And sometimes, because you’re in the middle of the building, you can’t see how far you’ve come.

You’re too busy wiping faces, making meals, breaking up arguments, praying through the hard days, creating memories, figuring life out, and trying to become the woman God called you to be.

But mama…

LOOK AT WHAT YOU’RE BUILDING.

It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Keep building.
Keep creating.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting God.

My husband and his twin are SERIOUS about bowling! I wanted to support them in the best way I know how which is by making something so I became their merch designer.

I loved being able to take an idea and turn it into something they can actually wear. Once again I teamed up with @dtfcarolinas for the DTF transfers and @cricut for the heat press. From the design to the pressing, I made these matching bowling shirts with my two favorite bowlers in mind.

They loved them but the real question is… will the shirts improve their game?

New month, new office… well, kind of. Part 1.

Sometimes making room for what God has next starts with simply making room.

This space had become a little bit of everything: storage, parking station for the kids’ bikes and scooters, a sitting area, place for random stuff, and somewhere along the way, the vision for what I wanted this room to become got buried underneath all of it.

So this month, I’m making room.

Room to create.
Room to build.
Room to dream.
Room to work.
Room to grow.

I cleared out the clutter, moved my desk, PC and monitor in from another room, and started creating a space that reflects where I’m headed, not where I’ve been.

It’s nowhere near finished but I’m learning to appreciate the process.

Sometimes God gives you the vision before He gives you the finished picture. Your job is to start building.

This is only Part 1. There’s MUCH more to come.

New month. New space. Same mission: BUILD.

This year I'm not letting fear hold me back from posting content!

I have so many videos of our DIY projects that I've never posted. They just live in my photo gallery because I was too afraid to post them. I could always find a reason not to post them. "The video quality was bad", "I didn't record at a good angle", "I messed up while doing the project", "I look like crap", "people won't be interested in a project like this". I always thought that the video would fail in some sort of way and that fear of failing had me hostage.

Well no more! It's gone on for too long. I'm posting it all! Are you ready for it? 😉

Somebody tell my baby she’s not allowed to grow up this fast! Today's my big girl's first day of Pre-K.

It feels like just yesterday I was holding my baby, and now she’s walking into her classroom ready to learn, grow, make friends, and become even more independent.

I hope she always remember that Mommy and Daddy are so proud of her. We're praying that God covers her, protects her, and gives her a great school year filled with joy, confidence, friendship, and so many new discoveries.
