After 5 years, I’m shutting down my fitness coaching business…

I started this at 21. A kid who liked lifting and loved watching people realize they were capable of more than they thought

Somewhere in there I got obsessed with the numbers behind the coaching.. Retention, adherence, check-in rates, front end acquisition, what actually predicts a client renewing versus going ghost

In the mentorships I’m in I’ve been in I’m known as the data and systems guy

That’s why this business grew as fast as it did and why clients got the results they got. I built software to handle the tracking so I didn’t have to do it by hand anymore. It shows you the truth. Sometimes the truth tells you a client’s about to churn before they say a word 🤷‍♂️

Sometimes it tells you someone on your team has been slacking for a month

We’ve been slowly rolling it out to other coaches over the last few months and we have over 30 running on it right now

Coaches doubling their client base in 2 months. Coaches resigning 46% more clients per quarter. Coaches seeing and managing every employee they have, in real time

I’m still coaching. My fitness clients get the same effort they’ve always gotten. But the software is picking up now and it needs my time too, so you’re going to see a shift in what I post here 😉

If you’ve been around a while, I love and appreciate you ❤️ thank you for being part of the journey, I can’t wait to enter this next phase of my entrepreneurial career 🕺 by @builtbydawson

Unreal view #spain #alicante by @builtbydawson

Exactly 2 years ago we were in Europe, I had just finished up a massive protocol for my Endometriosis and gut health

And I can admit I went a bit crazayyy with the treats and wine

I can blame it fully on my lack of adaptation leading INTO the vacay

I had been so damn rigid with my food and training for months before we flew out of Canada and when we landed everything went polar opposite

I ended up puffy, inflamed, my Endo + gut were both flared.. it was a mess 🫠

I ended up getting home a few lbs heavier with flared symptoms and remember feeling like actual garbage

But two years later to now, I’ve spent the time to life-proof my progress and build adaptation systems that allow me to eat based on the environment I’m in (airport, big city, cafe..)

So I’m able to have the wine, the gelato, the pastas and not derail my body composition or internal health

(I’ve probably eaten 5 or 6 types of croissants already and I’ve only been here a week lol)
