My dad built every session I had growing up around it. I hated the repetition. Then one day the moves just came out of me without thinking.

It didn’t stop with me. I’ve watched those same basics shape the players around me in my community, and last year I saw it click for 8 year olds I coached in Spain.

It all traces back to people like Tom Byer, who took this method across Japan starting with one question at a kids’ camp in Kobe. Today: 151 schools and a country known for its touch.

Some things are beyond football. Look at the impact you’re making at the root.
