My love for Nigeria started long before I fully understood what it meant to love a country.

Growing up, I was obsessed with Nollywood, Nigerian food, our music, our people, our culture… everything. I couldn’t quite explain why I felt so connected to Nigeria until I got older and realised just how deeply rooted I was in it.

At 21, I made the decision to move back to Nigeria, and honestly, it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I love my culture. I love our people. I love the creativity, the resilience, the energy and the sheer possibility that exists here. I truly believe Nigeria has so much potential, and while there is still so much work to do, I believe that one day, surely, we’ll get there.

And perhaps one of my favourite things about my Nigerian story is that I get to experience so many sides of it. I’m half Yoruba, half Edo, and now married to an Igbo man. I get to carry, celebrate and learn from so many beautiful cultures that make up this country, and I feel incredibly privileged for that.

Nigeria, you are complicated, beautiful, frustrating, inspiring and full of possibility. But above all, you are home.

Entrepreneurship is a lot more than building a business.

It’s managing your time, your team, your clients, your finances, your emotions, your personal life… sometimes all before lunch. 😂

Some days you feel completely on top of everything. Other days, everything feels like it’s happening at once.

I’m learning that the goal isn’t to have everything perfectly figured out. It’s to build systems that help you navigate the chaos.

A few things that help:
→ Prioritise what actually needs your attention
→ Delegate instead of trying to do everything yourself
→ Communicate clearly with your team
→ Give yourself room to rest and reset
→ Don’t make permanent decisions on temporary bad days
→ Remember that slow progress is still progress

Running a business will stretch you in ways you never expected. The real skill is learning how to manage the business without letting the business manage you.

There’s something so beautiful about life—you genuinely never know how much it can change in a year.

At this exact time last year, I was crying, praying and asking God for the things I have today. And the crazy part is, I never imagined my prayers would actually look like this when they came true.

Life really has a way of surprising you.

So today, I’m just grateful. Grateful for the answered prayers, the unexpected blessings, the lessons, and everything still unfolding.

If you’re in a season where things don’t make sense yet, keep going. You never know what a year from now will look like. 🤍

God is good. And I’m so excited for what’s ahead.
