I had such a great time this summer joining and partaking in a Ladies Soccer league. It’s been over 15 years since I was in a league last, I was nervous about my fitness level & being rusty on the field. But I had an amazing team of ladies & a great coach that supported each other on the field and off the field.

I plan on playing again over the winter (indoor) & can’t wait to join a team again next summer! Felt so good to be back on the field & wearing my cleats. ⚽️💕

It’s been 1 full year being employed with The County of Simcoe as a Personal Support Worker. Time has flown by already, yet I have learned so much. Facing challenges & overcoming them. Helping families with their grief, assisting the residents of the home with quality of life, taking new educational/leadership opportunities. I am Part 1 Joint Health & Safety Committee certified & on the team at my long term care home.

I’m very thankful for the supports that have helped me get this far with acceptance, support and encouragement. I don’t know how long this chapter of my life will be but I will enjoy all the moments I have with the residents that I currently care for & the teammates & friends I work with.
