2 Years of B for Bunmi 🎥🎬 Two years ago today, I uploaded the very first video on B for Bunmi. Its been 2 years of late nights editing, Emails to every artist team imaginable, dms to promoters to shoot shows for free, disappointment, plane tickets for interviews that never happened and a lot of other crazy things. I could go on and on. But Its also been 2 years of continously growth, restrategizing and meeting such wonderful people & for that I can only be thankful 🫶🏾 This time last year, I had around 200 subscribers & I genuinely had no idea how I was going to get to 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours within a year. It felt impossible but I finally reached both this week 🥺🫶🏾 Thank you to the managers who let me work with their artists and connected me to others. To the friends who lent me their laptops and cameras when I didn't have my own. The ones who help me edit when I'm creatively stuck. The ones who give me advice and dedicate thier time on how to grow B for Bunmi as well as everyone else who's been part of this. 🙏 Here's to year 3. 🎬✨ by @bunmi._
Random (Very overdue) Grad Dump 2.5 years later and it’s still one of the best decisions I’ve made. When I think about coming to university so young, the challenges, the homesickness, the late nights and self-doubt, all I feel now is gratitude to God for the growth and the incredible people I met over those 4 years. Finishing an Engineering degree at 20 will forever be one of my biggest flexes, and it was truly only done by God’s grace. I will forever ride for women in STEM, especially engineering; so to the young Black girl seeing this on her feed: please go after that degree, that scholarship, that program, even if you’re the only one in the room—you belong there more than you know, and you won’t regret it. And a special thank you to @heyswiss, the first female engineer I ever met, whose example made “engineer” feel possible for me and planted the seed that grew into this journey. 🫂 by @bunmi._
