journey to earning my purple belt has been a long ride for me. Started training at 15, got my blue belt at 16. Decided to drop out of high school to train and compete full time till 19.

I was sick of being broke & wanted to start a business so I took a break from bjj then. My younger self was convinced it was one or the other.

but the thought of never achieving my black belt weighed on me through my 20s.

Then, last year, I made the decision – there's no better time than now to come back. I'm grateful to have people like Gui and Tainan who make it easy to come back & inspired to train. Next belt will definitely not be another 12 years 💪🏽🥋 taken in Mendes Brothers Art of Jiu Jitsu Gym by @bunt

Trailed loaded and the SV is on the way back to cali. Fuel run was my first car event I’ve done and I have no clue why considering I’ve had sick cars for years, but that was one weekend and another level of networking.
