POSTS STORIES REELS

Two homes, one valley apart.

The Tāl sits at 2,250 m in Sari, on the trail to Deoria Tal - stone and mud, four rooms, an open mountain view. Dea Avnovaa sits at 1,550 m in Mandal, beside a crystal-clear river - seven rooms, a yogashala, quaint little Pahadi villages on all sides.

Who we’re for
Families. Friends. Teams. Couples. Solo travellers. Trekkers, writers, birders. People who need a week away, or two. Small groups who want the whole place to themselves.

What you can do here
Walk ancient trails to 13,000 ft. Spot some of the 200+ bird species around us. Stargaze. Meditate. Practise yoga. Swim in a cold blue river. Eat food grown down the road, with a Pahadi family. Wander the villages. Visit temples older than anyone can date. Warm up by a fire. Work from the mountains. Plan a celebration no one forgets.

Or do nothing at all. That one’s popular.

From ₹6,000/night for two.

📍 Sari, Rudraprayag & Mandal, Chamoli — Garhwal Himalayas #buranshstays #uttarakhandtourism #chopta #gharwalhimalayas #deaavnovaa by @buranshstays

5 reasons to come to Uttarakhand this festive season. 🌺

1. Fresh air, literally. 2,250 m up. You'll feel it in the first hour.

2. This Diwali, listen to a river instead. Birdsong at dawn, water all night.

3. The mountains are actually visible. Post-monsoon, no haze — Chaukhamba from Deoria Tal at sunrise.

4. A road that isn't crawling. Reach by lunch, not by midnight.

5. Celebrate Diwali in Devbhoomi. The land of the gods, not just a long weekend.

October and November are the clearest weeks of the Garhwal year. Nine rooms across two villages — The Tāl at Sari, 2,250 m. Dea Avnovaa at Mandal, 1,550 m.

Six weeks. Then the light changes and it's over till spring.

Save this and DM us to plan your festive week. 📌

The sky wore its clearest blue,
the marigolds caught fire in the sun,
and the river sang in turquoise.
October ended the way a good poem does: quietly, and all at once. 🌺 by @buranshstays

— sitting in the sun, scrolling through our phones, capturing little moments, sharing laughter, and simply enjoying being here. ☀️🏔️

No routine. No goals. No rush. Just life happening in between the practices. 🤍

Non-practice, relaxing phone moments. ✨

So Randeep, Rajani, Mahadevan (Appu), Rakesh and the other staff: we see us again in march 2027!

With love from one mountainlover to another mountainlover, namaste Ruth ❤️🙌🏻🌸🏔️🙏🏻 by @buranshstays

You have earned more than a weekend.
Day 3 is when people stop checking their phone. Come for 4 nights or 10. Two villages, two homes and eleven rooms to choose from, and nothing asked of while you are here. You may also choose working through birdsongs or a river.
