Char Zaku Space Marine vs RX78-2 Space Marine 😁

The RX78 was built/painted 2 years ago and always needed a Char Zaku opponent.

Yes one is missing his axe and the other should have a beam Sabre 😉😘.

I've wanted to create a Char Zaku Space Marine for a while. After making the RX78 Gundam Marine in 2024, I've often felt that the Assault Intercessor poses lend themselves well to other Gundam Mobile Suits.
-
The main body is a standard press fit Assault Primaris Intercessor, the clenched fist is a 3D print and the head is a custom 3D print from a free STL file.

I'll post side by side shots of the RX78 Marine and Char Zaku Marine soon 👍.

Furnace Hawk Primaris Marine.
A test scheme using another @darkstarhobbies molten metals triad. He turned ok 👍.

A Primaris Silver Templar.

Another experimental painting method, as the silver armour was sponge painted + edge highlights.

A fun and quick to paint chapter scheme ☺👍.

A clean and simple first born Ultramarine. I went for a quick and easy method, so very few blends or details.

I did freehand one of the gold shoulder pad trims as he looked unbalanced with only one. 🙂👍

I'm not quite sure what to call this chapter...something, something Angels...😁😆.

Anyway this was an exercise in enamel washing with an intended grim dark result.
I'm not sure I got anywhere near grim dark but I enjoyed the process.

Fun was had on another First Born eBay saved model, but I'm not sure i'll come back to enamel washing.

Iron Dragon Primaris Intercessor Marine 👍

I recently purchased 3 of the @darkstarhobbies Molten Metal paint triads. This was a test of the silver group.
Very nice metallic paint with a lovely binder medium, super easy to blend/glaze with 😎.
