Last night at the Age in Our Times exhibition, my piece “Don Polo” was honored with the Echoes of Time Award 🏅for “demonstrating outstanding artistic excellence.” 🥹🥹

This milestone means the world to me — not only to exhibit at an official Houston museum, but to do so with such a deeply personal piece. Although I wasn’t able to be there in person, my heart was in Houston celebrating this milestone. 🫶🏼 Aging is such a universal journey, and through Don Polo I hoped to honor the love and resilience carried in our stories.

Forever grateful for this recognition and for the chance to be part of such a meaningful exhibition alongside incredible artists 🩷🩷 by @burgoosk

So excited to share that my piece Red Nails won Second Place at the Modern Mirrors Art Exhibition hosted by @ardestgallery ! ✨

This exhibition was extra special for me since not just one, but two of my works were accepted. 🩷Feeling incredibly grateful for this recognition and for the chance to showcase alongside so many talented artists.

Thank you to the organizers and the juror @monterrosostudio for creating such a meaningful platform for art and reflection 💛 taken in The Ardest Gallery by @burgoosk

The Leader News wrote about the Archway Gallery show and Flor de Nube got a little mention! ⭐️

Still processing this moment 💫

Hearing juror @rickloweofficial share his thoughts on Flor de Nube was incredibly meaningful and something I’ll carry with me for a long time. It means so much to have my work recognized in this way, especially by someone whose artistic voice has shaped how we think about community, space, and storytelling.

⛅️🌼 Flor de Nube (and all pieces in the show) are available for purchase at @archwaygallery , and 50% of proceeds will go to Brave Little Company — a Houston-based theater group creating inclusive, joyful works for children and families of all backgrounds.

Thank you to the organizers, fellow artists, and everyone who has supported my work along the way. 🤍
