@buri.flo is an Argentinian queer woman, artist, traveler and eternal lover of life, starting her journey with tattooing in 2016 when she discovered and fell completely in love with hand-poking. Since then she has focused her efforts on improving the technique and pushing the boundaries of what she thought possible to achieve, while expanding the understanding of her role as a tattooer.

Thank you Michelle for trusting me with this project ✨
We had two session to complete it, one for the black and a shorter one for color.

I love it when tattoo and healing come hand in hand. When the time has arrived to resignify a tattoo you chose to place on your skin many years ago.

When subtle, invisible changes have been happening inside, and a tattoo comes to tell you: you’ve made it this far. You are the architect of your reality, of yourself.

✨ TATTOO REVAMPED ✨
My client came with a hand tattoo that was causing a great deal of anxiety and disassociation from her hand (original piece in 2nd slide- def not done by me). This piece was intended to harmonize with her full color sleeve and ended up ruining the whole thing for her.

I am very picky with the kind of pieces I choose to rework in this way. Handpoking doesn’t work in all cases. This time I was confident that we could bring new life to it together🌼
And what a delight to see the final result, my client happy with her hand again, and the satisfaction of working with love and care, bringing out the most amazing result possible. Making decisions together and creating something she can proudly share with the world.

I always say that tattoos are more than just the final piece, it’s also the attention and love received in every detail. It’s the energy exchanged between the tattooer and tattooed. It’s the intention behind the transformation. I’m not claiming to be perfect as I’m always learning and improving, but I do my best to give my all to every person that chooses my needles. This is why I’m not worried about robots taking over the tattoo industry, bc who would want something done without heart, soul, purpose?
