Fam it's been a minute! Letting you all know the #burngently doco only has 4 days left on @sbsondemand! Who knows what's next, but this could be your last chance to see it in your very own home.
We remain beyond proud of this project. A snippet of Hiphop culture on our shores.

Big shout out to our team @sensibleantixxrecords @kristinaahood @nfajones and @hideawaymedia.

A huge thank you to the 46+ artists we interviewed.

And big, BIG love to all you for supporting a 6 year dream.

This isn't "Aus Hip Hop," this is HIP HOP.
If you love the culture, you'll know about @bigvillagerecords. This label crafted an audible landscape where artists not only flourished in their own right, but supported newcomers to step out too... We have SO much love for everyone involved, if you don't know, now you know. And if you do know, THANK YOU.
Biggups @rapaportbv for documenting Hip Hop now and always.

Mad love to the team over at @australianmusicvault for housing an excerpt of #burngently for another year! It's such a privilege to have our work (and more important the Hip Hop culture) represented in the legacy of Australian music. The AMV gets huge attendance throughout the year, it houses incredible works of Australia's greatest artists and we're eternally grateful for the support. Thank you AMV!

Next time you're near the @artscentremelbourne pop you're head in and submerse yourself in our country's music!

Sending some love from the Burn Gently team out to @elefanttraks on their announcement of closing their doors. ET are so important to Hip Hop in this country... Multicultural from the outset, unafraid to approach topics even when the genre hadn't quite found its feet in the public eye... There's not many independent labels that live 26 years. It's wild to imagine how they did it in the fast paced growth, development and adaptation of our music industry since 1998 (let alone in the belittling eye of tall poppy Australia in early 2000's). We have so much love for ET artists across the country, we love the role you played in Aus music, in our lives, and in our humble doco. We hope the next gen that come through look at these iconic elefants and recognise what Hip Hop can achieve for community, in a country so far from the cultures origin.

And all that said, they ain't goin out quietly! Pack your trunk (lol), and if you're heading to this night of nights in Sydney OPERA HOUSE (where Hip Hop was once never imagined to be!) let us know in the comments n let's talk your favourite ET releases. See you all on May 26.

Better late than never! Just found this little write up that was published pre-Arias. When (or who) was your first experience with Hip Hop?
Shout out to Kathy for giving us a little light in the launch of our doco #burngently now on @sbsondemand
