Vertical jigging soft baits & jig heads made for slaying lakers. Based out of the Finger Lakes region in Upstate NY. Website coming soon!

POSTS STORIES REELS

Really getting some of our swim bait colorways dialed in over the Fourth of July weekend. Over 140 lakers boated over the weekend and 300+ over the last two weekends.

We started making our own swimbaits because we wanted color ways that were exactly what lakers wanted. Whether we’re fishing in the adirondacks or the finger lakes, our jig heads paired with our swimbaits have made this year an extremely successful one so far. Once we can slow ourselves down from fishing all time we will be getting on production of swimbaits, packaging and a website to get our baits in your hands.

251 Laker Trout caught and released in 2 days between Me, Burke Collins and Ryan Goatmann

It was a great opportunity to try out the new @burpsharkbaits on beautiful lake Champlain and they absolutely smoked with the Kodiak Eye, Ryan @rolloskanwoods started to make these soft plastics and jigs we immediately started slamming fish right from the start, vertical jigging, all day for two days, these swimbaits are designed exactly for what we’re doing. I broke my personal best in a day of 37 Trout in a day, average fish was 27-32in We had one hell of a time on two super calm days. Can’t wait to get out again and have these adventures, they don’t come by a lot, we will be back at it soon! #laketrout #fishinglife #summer #adirondacks by @burpsharkbaits

2 days laker jigging and boated 90 fish for myself, 48 the first day and 42 the second. Our group of three did 251 lakers this weekend! We ran through quite the pile of baits I made for this trip, already started making more with some tweaks for this up coming weekend.

Season total for myself now is 271 lakers this year.

Drop a tube jig down, lakers don’t care.. drop a twister paddle tail swimbait down, lakers don’t care. Drop a tube jig w/ trimmed skirt on a jig head with a twister paddle tail off the hook and they munch the hell out of it. This bait has been hammering them for me lately, out of the 25 lakers in my last two outings this has landed me over 18 of them. Lakers are tough fish to try to understand.

Sunday laker jigging a couple weeks ago.. landed 13, lost a couple. Started the morning out with a few good ones, then got into some dinks before finding good sized lakers again. They were really munching up our burp shark baits tube jig with a curly kicker tail thrown on, they much preferred it on a jighead than a tube jig hook & weight.

Good fighter to start the day, tube jigs and curly kicker tails did well for me today. Fished solo and had ten in the boat before 11, it was weather perfect out there today so I waited the mid day lull out and was able to get three more this afternoon.

Rollo & I had a successful test day last Sunday, fished till about eleven and landed eight lakers. The hot bait was our glow ripple shad with a chartreuse tail.

The first laker caught on an all Burp Shark bait, earned this colorway the name.. “Tailbender”. It caught me a bunch of lakers on Saturday and last night hooked me into the biggest laker I’ve ever had on the end of the line. Fought this fish for over ten minutes from 107’ and could barely get any on it before in snapped a weak spot in my leader line. I’m still bummed about losing this fish but the colors work. #laketrout #laketroutjigging #verticaljigging #burpsharkbaits #fingerlakes by @burpsharkbaits

First day of testing using 100% of our own baits from the jig heads to the soft plastics. For fishing a place we had never fished before, on a day with a quick bite window and tons of short striking, we still managed to land 13 in the boat while losing two at the boat, a few more hookups and tons of bites made the day a success. Back to the Burp Shark lab to do some tweaking on a few colors and make more of the ones that killed it for us. #laketrout #laketroutjigging #burpsharkbaits #fingerlakes #fishing by @burpsharkbaits

Been a busy first few days in the Burp Shark Lab making soft plastics, lots of trial and error. Working on getting injections consistent and colors how we’d like them. Lots of fishable baits to test out tomorrow!
