We are proud to officially welcome John Sorich IV (@johnnyoro) as our BUSCH partner.
John is a goldsmith, hand engraver & stone setter. Trained as a goldsmith in Vicenza, Italy & Antwerp Belgium. He works at the Sorich family business, Diamonds Direct, an independent jewelry store in Minneapolis, MN.
As John has worked with BUSCH tools for many years, our connection has grown naturally over time. We are especially excited to now take this next step and officially introduce John as a part of our team.
His passion for craftmanship, precision, and excellence perfectly reflects what BUSCH stands for.

We are pleased to officially welcome Matt Tuggle (@tuggledesigns) as a BUSCH Partner.

From his first jewelry class in high school, Matt Tuggle knew he’d found his calling — and has spent his career proving it at the bench. Matt’s work centers on heirloom-quality custom pieces crafted entirely by hand - no CAD, just traditional fabrication, ornamental hand engraving, and meticulous stone setting. He brings that same hands-on philosophy to life in the Tuggle Designs studio every day, creating jewelry with soul that tells a story because of the human touch behind it. Committed to both learning and teaching, Matt has studied under some of the industry’s finest masters and loves passing that craft on to students and fellow artisans.

Matt has been closely connected to BUSCH for years, especially as a demonstrator at JCK Show in Las Vegas (@jckevents), where he supported us live at the bench in the last years. We are exited to have him back again this year and cooperate even more closely going forward!

Husband + wife. Engraver + stone setter. One plate. 🔨💎

We’re excited to be here at JGW Hong Kong, tag-teaming a live demonstration at the @wingwohong booth! 🇭🇰 Lauren has been hand engraving a mandala while Matt sets stones throughout the design, combining both of our crafts into one piece.

We’re having so much fun demonstrating how we use some of our favorite tools — from @buschjewellery burs and @grstools equipment to @badeco_tools

PSA - If you’re using the wrong drill bit, you’re making your life harder. 👇

🎥 Tuggle Tool Time is back, and today we’re talking about the three twist drills I reach for most in the shop.

⚙️ Steel Twist Drill – My go-to for softer metals like gold and silver.

💎 Carbide Drill – Perfect for tougher metals, but handle with care. They’re incredibly hard, which also means they’re brittle. Break one off in your work and you’ll have a frustrating repair ahead of you.

🖤 High-Speed Steel (Black Shank) – My personal favorite! They stay sharp for a long time, cut beautifully, and if one does break, it’s much easier to deal with than carbide.

I’ve had the best experience with Busch drills over the years, and they’re the ones I keep reaching for at the bench because they consistently perform.

Tested them on very rough surfaces today，see how the Busch RR426M could remove more metal.

Busch RR426F vs RR426M:
RR426F (fine): cuts softly, good for fine work and polishing
RR426M (medium): cuts fast, great for shaping and textures

Tested the Busch Fig.RR426F/060 Carbide Bamroller Bur today straight on fresh castings.
Cuts down so much surface finishing time, totally obsessed with it!❤️❤️❤️ @buschjewellery
