We're reaching out because we're embarking on a transformative project that aims to further our mission of erasing shame, fostering acceptance, and embracing the journey of womanhood. We're inviting you to be a part of our upcoming Vulva Empowerment Exhibit through an intimate and empowering experience: having your vulva artistically molded.

Our interactive Vulva Wall showcases the incredible diversity of women and aims to break down societal taboos surrounding the vulva. We believe that your story is important and that your participation can contribute to a movement that empowers women to love themselves exactly as they are. Your decision to take part can make a profound impact on others, promoting body positivity and encouraging open conversations about women's bodies.

Participating in this project is a deeply personal decision, and we want you to know that your comfort, privacy, and consent are of utmost importance to us.

Should you choose to join us, you'll have the opportunity to anonymously share your unique journey through "Your Skin, Your Story." This platform allows you to narrate the experiences, growth, and self-discovery that have shaped your life. By sharing your story, you'll inspire others to embrace their own paths, breaking free from societal norms and expectations.

Sugaring hair removal is hands down the most effective form of hair removal.

Free from chemicals, body sugaring is 100% natural made from sugar, lemon juice & water. Our paste is also organic and made in Canada.

Using the flick or hand method, the sugar paste is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth. When applying it, it lifts the hair up, allowing the sugar paste to seep into the follicle and wrap itself around the hair. The paste & the hair is removed in the direction of the hair growth, removing the hair straight out of the follicle (vs being bent back like the traditional wax method). you don’t say it out loud.

but you apologize for sweating.
you tense up.
you wonder if your esthetician is secretly judging you.
you spend half the appointment thinking about it instead of relaxing.

can i let you in on a secret?

we don’t care.

your body is warm. you’re nervous. you’re lying under bright lights while someone is removing your pubic hair.

of course you’re sweating.

meanwhile, i’m walking around in a ribbed tank top unapologetically collecting boob sweat in public. 😂

bodies sweat.
we don’t judge them for it.
so please stop apologizing for being human. 🤎

I think we’ve accidentally turned a preference into a rule.

somewhere along the way, “brazilian” became synonymous with “completely bare.”

but that’s never been the case.

over the years, I’ve met women who feel their most confident completely bare, women who love a landing strip, and women who change it up every appointment.

none of them are doing it “wrong.”

hair removal isn’t about following a trend or someone else’s expectation. It’s about choosing what makes you feel the most like yourself.

at bush, you’ll never be talked into removing more (or less) than you’re comfortable with.

your body. your choice. your brazilian. 🤍

“I’m so sorry… I have a weird vulva.”

it’s one of the saddest things I hear in the treatment room.

somewhere along the way, you were taught there’s a “right” way for a vulva to look.

maybe it was an ex.
maybe it was porn.
maybe it was social media.
maybe nobody ever told you that normal comes in thousands of different shapes, sizes, colours, and textures.

if you take one thing away from this video, let it be this:

you are normal.

when you walk into our treatment room, we’re not comparing you to anyone else.

we’re here to make you feel comfortable, cared for, and completely free from judgment.

you never have to apologize for your body here.

unpopular opinion from a sugarist #1:
I don’t care if you shave. 🤷🏼‍♀️

listen, life happens.

last-minute vacations, spontaneous dates (get it girl), busy schedules… we’ve all been there.

i’m not judging you if you shave between appointments.

but, you need to know that your next brazilian will likely be more uncomfortable because shaving resets the progress we’ve been making. consistent sugaring helps weaken the hair over time, making future appointments easier.

no guilt. no shame. just honest education.

can we normalize talking about the awkward stuff? 👀

one of the biggest fears men have before intimate hair removal isn’t actually the pain…

it’s:

“what if I get a boner?”

the truth?

it happens sometimes.

not because someone’s attracted to their esthetician. not because they’re trying to make anyone uncomfortable (we will kick you to the curb if you do)

sometimes our bodies have involuntary physiological responses to stress, touch, or being in a vulnerable situation.

as professionals, we understand that.

we don’t make it awkward.
we don’t shame you.
we simply continue with the appointment.

the expectation is the same for every client: we remain professional, and we expect our clients to do the same.

an involuntary physical response isn’t the issue.

how someone chooses to behave is.

one of our goals at bush is to make awkward conversations feel normal, because if you’re thinking it, chances are someone else is too.

Somewhere along the way, so many of us were taught to apologize for simply having a body.

for body hair.
for sweating.
for not being “perfect” before an appointment.

the truth? every single woman who walks into our treatment room has a body that does normal body things.

the less shame we carry around those things, the freer we become.
